Let me be clear: I did not buy the Voluspa French Cade Lavender Candle. This candle BOUGHT ME! First Impressions: The jar alone looks like it was designed by a Parisian aristocrat who casually summers in Provence and whispers affirmations to olive trees. The packaging says, “I journal in linen pants.” I lit it once. Once. And suddenly my house felt like it had passive income. What the scent Is Happening?! French Cade. Lavender. I don’t know what “French Cade” is, but I assume it’s the scent of a tall, emotionally available lumberjack with a poetry degree. The lavender? Not the “cheap spa waiting room” lavender. Not the “grandma’s drawer sachet” lavender. This is the lavender that therapists visit. Lavender that boundaries. This lavender burns Chuck Norris candles (RIP). When this candle burns, my home smells like: • A luxury eco-resort in the South of France • A wellness retreat where no one checks email The Transformation: Within minutes of lighting it: • My posture improved • My hydration levels rose • My credit score went up 17 points • I started speaking slower and more intentionally My dog began making better life choices. I half-expected Martha Stewart to appear in my kitchen and gently critique my olive oil. Burn Quality: It burns evenly. Clean. No tunneling. This candle commits. It does not ghost you halfway down the jar. The throw is strong but refined. It does not punch you in the nostrils. It enters the room like someone who owns the building. Emotional Side Effects; After 45 minutes: • I considered buying a cashmere throw. • I forgave someone from 2008. • I Googled “how to grow lavender on a balcony.” • I briefly believed I was sophisticated. This candle doesn’t mask odors. It replaces your personality. But is It Worth It? Is it expensive? Yes. It is worth it! Expensive? Also yes. Because some candles smell nice. This candle curates a lifestyle. Final Verdict: ⭐ 10/10 ⭐ Would burn during: • A bath • A breakup • A business strategy session • A solo evening of contemplating generational wealth If scent had a LinkedIn profile, this candle would say: “French Cade Lavender; Disrupting Domestic Atmosphere Since Day One.” Buy it. Or don’t. But know that somewhere, someone is lighting this candle right now and becoming 12% more emotionally regulated than you. And that feels unfair.

Amazing smell! Very large sized candle and very cute vase. I gave this out as a gift and they loved it!

Wonderful smell....beautiful jar.

The one I received smelled like bug spray. It's certain that smell is subjective because many reviews, including Wirecutter, mention liking the scent, but the moment I opened the box, I was turned off by the odor. I hoped that burning it would smell better, but that just made it more apparent. I love the Baltic Amber scent also by Voluspa. Too bad they can't send out little samples. I like the first one so much, I'd love to have another in a scent I'd enjoy. Later edit…I smelled this same scent at Anthropology store. It smelled good. I think the one I received was defective. Explains why everyone else likes the scent—mine smelled totally different! Later...Voluspa reached out to me and replaced the candle, something I hadn't asked for nor expected. They are a great company and I love all five candles I have.

Very disappointed in the fragrance. I was recommended that this candle lasts long and the scent is amazing. When I burned it it didn’t smell like what was described. Not worth the money.
