Perfect for Fondue!
I hate electric Fondue pots for e to the lack of precise temperature control. We really like Fondue but paying $200 for repeated visits to the local fondue restaurant of e simply not feasible. So, I decided to find a way to make Fondue at home. A dual burner hot plate seemed to be the best approach, which would allow for broth and cheese to be heated and kept warm at the same time, at different temperatures. This burner has done a fantastic job. Any pot that I have laying around works great. The burners heat quickly AND hold the required temperature. Unlike an induction burner that scared me every time I used it because I could smell wires burning. This hot plate performs exactly as needed for Fondue. On the keep warm settings, the cheese stayed arm enough for dipping bread but never burned. On 4, the broth maintained a simmer. As we added food to the broth, the temp would need to be raised but it didn't take long. The smooth surfaces of the hot plate make it easy to wipe clean and it's compact size and reasonable price make it perfect to keep around for infrequent use.

I used this in a camper to save on Propane.
I have used this for a while because I didn't want to be one that says all kinds of good things about it, from my first use, and think it looks good, so it must work great. I have used this for 9 months that I know of, while I didn't keep count. This works great and I use Copper Chef cookware on it. I actually cooked a lot on this, to know what it can and can't do. The only thing I noticed it can't do is boil water on the biggest burner without a lid, because the air cools the water just as much as the burner heats. My kettle I am talking about is a 5.5 quart kettle. I guess that is the best I can say about it's limits, and maybe you might want a burner to do more than 1700 watts. If you have a lid use it, and you this will be fine. I cooked everything from grilled cheese to a big pot of chili. Recently, I made Chicken Fajitas, while I always cook to evaporate the water and scorch it a little for a better flavor, and that takes longer than I wanted to wait. I didn't want to cook it as high as it goes, so it didn't burn the food until I get use to it. I bought the stainless steel look, because if I need to keep it clean I didn't want to wear off the paint. The Knobs have numbers printed on the them for temperature, and the ink wears off with normal use. I think before they wear off you should scratch marks in the knobs, because the ink on glossy plastic will not last.

Mom loves her new stove! Easy to Clean!
So far this is thrilling my mom so it is a winner in my book. My elderly mom doesn't have a good sense of smell anymore and was occasionally hitting her stove enough to barely turn the gas on. The result was the stove was not igniting, but still releasing gas at the burner. So we disconnected her stove and gave her a single burner since she really doesn't cook that much. Now that she has home health care, she has someone that cooks for her and the one burner made cooking time consuming. This stove has so far been well-received by both my mom and her home health care aide. My mom specifically comments on how easy it is to clean compared to the old one that had a metal burner.

Suitable for boiling water, but not much else.
My wife and I live in a tiny house and our stove replacement for the last 4 years was the Waring double cast iron burner, but it broke on us - the burner wouldn't turn off when it was all the way down. I like for appliances to last longer than 4 years, but since the Waring was pretty much the best we could find, I figured I might as well go cheap, you know, if they're just going to die on us. Also, I wanted to try a different burner "technology". In researching this purchase I found a reviewer who claimed: "the numbers on the dials rubbed off the first time I used it," and I laughed, and thought to myself, "well there's an unhappy person who probably hates everything and always writes 1 star reviews in order to get some kind of kickback." Then I read some of the positive reviews and figured this was a safe purchase. So as not to be a negative nancy, I want to throw out one positive of having this stove, and one type of person it would be good for. What's one good thing about it? The footprint is very small - smaller than the Waring - so much so that we were excited to have more counter space. Who is this good for? Someone who needs an extra burner or two, once or twice a year, to boil water. Reasons I'm displeased with this product, from least to most bothersome: 1. The numbers definitely come right off the dial with a gentle rub, and there's NO WAY they don't know this at the factory. SMH. I put a sticker on our dial and marked the hairline between "don't cook" and "burn food instantly." Not that it helped. 2. One day the mark on the dial means 250 the next day it means 400. I can't begin to count all the breakfasts and mornings this thing ruined. Maybe the numbers come off the dial because the stove refuses to be told what to do? Or maybe it runs on chaos? 3. My cast iron pans skid all over the burner. If I go to move the food in the pan, the pan moves on the burner instead, so no more casually tending the stove with one hand while I gesture flamboyantly at my attentive guests. 4. There is NO WAY to know that the burner is on or hot! There is only a light to tell you that the burner is currently getting hotter. When the burner gets to temp, the light turns off and the mystery begins. Is this safe to touch, or will I cook my finger? This is so dangerous it should be illegal. 5. The worst of all? The HOT SPOT. Do you see the white circle inside the burner? The actual hot area is within that circle somewhere. It's so bad that it ruined the seasoning finish on my favorite 1 egg cast iron pan. I could cook anything in that pan with no sticking. I really miss that pan. But the takeaway for me was the hot spot was smaller than the bottom of a 1 egg frying pan. I really regret this purchase, and have another 4 year Waring on the way. I'll keep this around for industrious or scientific things so I don't ruin our Waring, but that's it.

Would recommend this cooktop for sure…100 percent. It’s saved me from breathing in burning metal… helping to stop lung damage. Very grateful!

Overall its nice, it heats up really fast , i use it all the time , i live in a basement so its enough for me. But one of the plates stoped working, after alot of thinking i guess its because i used both of them on high level in the same time for a while and i think the wires have melted or something ,anyhow i asked for a replacement i am waiting for it to come so i can post the old one. Its my only cooking stove.

I've been using this cooktop for 2 months, numbers on the temperature regulator already faded away, which makes it harder to control, but overall very good for its price. Takes a little longer to warm up, like any other cooktops.
