I purchased a small 4TB SSD to carry around with my laptop and play games, store larger files, and hoard media like home videos. It was great for upwards of two years, but I slowly started to see performance degradation and was dreading the day I'd have to buy another $400 one—though I thought it was par for the course because I travel with it all the time and travel is not always nice to electronics. I recently decided to try changing out the cord and chose this option because it was the first one presented to me with the right connection. Let me tell you all, the drive reaches speeds of 1GB/s (about 3x the speed I was getting when it was new). This works as advertised and has such great value for the price - a definite need for anyone in a similar situation to me. A few things to note: at first the shape and lack of flexibility was weird to me, but I actually prefer using my drive with the more rigid cord. The cord is not long but it shouldn't be for such high data transfer speeds. I wouldn't know about its charging ability, but I assume it would be pretty good. I would only really use this cord as a charger if you were going to really need it, though, since moving it around a lot could make it easy to lose.

Used it in my arcade stick build. Works as expected.

The quality of it looks impressive, but it did not work for my need. I was trying to connect my device to Apple Carplay but no power transmitted. Can't explain why

This feels really quality, and it does data transfer which is just what I needed! I use it for my external hard drive. I like how sturdy it is.
