Fantastic product!
I needed something for my SO's garden since we were going on vacation and she wanted something left alive when we got back :) :) I spent two weeks surfing reviews and basically came to the conclusion that the overwhelming majority of timers out there are absolute overpriced garbage. Just cheap, barely up to the level of throwaway, crap from China. Then I stumbled across the LinkTap stuff. Yes its more expensive - up front. $140 for one faucet. But its very obvious that this product is actually built to last more then one season. You WILL NOT find anything else with even close to equivalent functionality and quality for this price. Anything else will start at $50-60 and MAYBE last one season. We're in a high desert (6K ft) so while the heat isn't overwhelming (high 90's at most), the sun (UV) is brutal! Cheap plastic crap from China has a amazingly short lifespan! The app is clunky but functional. Which is fine. I want a functional product! I don't care if the app isn't a work of art. Read their directions because some things are not obvious. Also, this product will do A LOT. Also, not all of which is obvious. The web site is less clunky and still perfectly functional. The web site is NOT housed on the hub so you can control your watering remotely anywhere you have internet access. NOTE: remote access ONLY works if your hub has internet access! If the hubs internet connection goes belly up, you are SOL. This only affects YOU ACCESSING the hub and doing stuff. Whatever preexisting settings continue on as they are irrespective of whether the hub has internet access or not. The hub uses Zigbee - yea, stop jumping up and down. It is ONLY used to interface with their devices. NO. It will not integrate with a Zigbee hub! Control is only through their app or their web site. There are a bunch of things I REALLY like about this setup, but I'm not going to go through all of them. #1 on my list is being able to see water flow: whether there is any and how much. We use dripper hoses which only flow about 2gph. Not nearly what an open faucet would flow so its easy to see if someone disconnected a hose. It also reassures my paranoid SO that water ACTUALLY IS flowing. :) #2 email alerts for several things like too much flow, no flow. Not much interest if you're at home, maybe, but I'm not down with blowing through 5000 gallons of water because we were gone for a week and the lawn guys ran over a hose with the mower. #3 hub based with remote devices. The app/web site doesn't talk directly to the devices. Which is very good for us since we have a weird shaped house. Wireless connectivity at the faucet is shaky at best. Bluetooth connectivity would be non existent. I located the hub in my office about in the middle of the house where I can supply it with uninterruptible power and internet and it gets 80% connectivity to the faucet which means it work perfectly 100% of the time. #4 it is SUPER EASY to hook this to a POE (power over Ethernet) adapter and only have one wire running to my POE Ethernet switch supplying both internet and power (off my UPS). No wall wart! Another plus to this is it makes things considerably easier if you don't have a power outlet where you want to put the hub. :) #5 this setup is crazy expandable! Unfortunately, I already have a perfectly functional sprinkler system so a hub and one faucet is all I'll probably ever need. But if I were putting in a new sprinkler system, I'd seriously consider this on a larger scale. I strongly suggest looking at their web site and going though their docs. I couldn't begin to give an adequate review of everything. I strongly recommend this over EVERYTHING else on amazon!

Definitely worth the money
Yes, this timer is more expensive than a lot of other timers, but you get what you pay for. First off, I wanted a timer that would be totally reliable if I am away and that I could easily monitor through my phone. This timer has a number of great features such as alerts if there is an unusual amount of water being used, gallons per minute being used, cost of water, monitoring the weather so it doesn’t water if rain is forecast, and so much more. You can change settings, shut it down remotely if needed. Secondly, I am not the most tech savvy person and when reading reviews of cheaper timers, one glaring thing was that they were not easy to program. With the LinkTap I was able to get it hooked up and programmed with no problem. I did have to hunt and peck around on the app to find certain features, but with the download of the complete instructions, I was able to find everything needed. There is also email customer support if needed. The product looks well built and durable and has a long battery life. So all to say, if you want a top quality product, spend the extra money and buy this one.

Reliable, no nonsense smart hose timer that actually works and works well
I've used this device to consistently water my tiny, mostly concrete "yard" while I was away on vacation. This product saved my plants from certain doom. I fell for the allure of an alternative product with a WiFi hub (which I couldn't even set up due to massive bugs in the app). One might consider this device requiring an ethernet connection a weakness, prima facie. After actually owning it I don't feel this way at all. It's designed to work well under a variety of conditions with minimal intervention, and the design has a small price to pay there with wired connectivity. The app might seem dated but it contains a ton of functionality that also, simply works. The most important point that I'd want to convey here is that this Linktap device is a serious and reliable product. This is much unlike the competition (I had a very bad experience trying to set up a Rachio device while communicating with their obviously AI-driven support team, and the rest of their competition looks like knock-offs and copy cats). The product has an array of features such as drop detection and irregular flow detection that unequivocally demonstrate seriousness and maturity. The timer just WORKS and reliably notifies me, and while the app records a ~50% signal strength it's enough to trigger within a minute most of the time. Oh and a two year warranty which screams confidence. And, at least as of this writing in August 2025, no subscription fee. Overall, I'm impressed and my garden lives on while I'm away. 5/5.

Outstanding product and absolutely exceptional customer support
I initially experienced an issue with unusually fast battery drain. I contacted LinkTap support, and to my surprise, their response was almost instant. The support team remotely diagnosed the device, quickly identified the source of the problem, and immediately shipped me a replacement unit. What truly impressed me is that I was not required to return the faulty device or pay any shipping costs. No back-and-forth, no hassle — just a fast, professional solution. This is a diamond-level customer support experience. I honestly have never encountered service like this before. As for the device itself — it has completely transformed how I water my lawn. The app is packed with features, yet everything is intuitive and easy to set up. Scheduling, automation, fine-tuning watering cycles — it all just works. Compared to other smart watering controllers I’ve tried, there is simply no competition when it comes to usability and convenience. Nothing else even comes close. Highly recommended — both the product and the company behind it are top-notch.

Superb
First, I have owned faucet timers from another company (Orbit's B-Hyve line) that I have been unhappy with for years. I recently discovered LinkTap and decided to give them a try based on the reviews here on Amazon. I ordered a dual-port model with a gateway. Setup and installation were truly as painless as the other reviews have suggested. The UI, while not perfect, is a HUGE improvement over the other company. (Hint, I'd like to see all of my timers in a grid to make scheduling easier) The order even came a day early, though I suspect that's more Amazon than LinkTap. Still. The device is more capable with more features too. Unfortunately, one of the ports was "on" when I got it installed and turned the water on. Nothing I did would get it to turn off. The blue button on the device, the app, nothing. Here's where LinkTap is going to set itself WAY above any competition: I sent an email to their support address - bear in mind it's still not even 0800 on a Sunday morning here. And yes, I realize they are not likely in my time zone, I don't even think they're on the same continent. Anyway, I got a response literally within minutes (two (2) to be exact) saying that it most likely had a faulty valve AND they would ship me a new complete device. It should be here within a few days. Stellar. I cannot say how refreshing it is to find a company with this level of customer service and an excellent product. Believe the reviews! I had the gateway set up and online in under 10 minutes. Adding the device to the gateway was quick and painless. Compared to the product I was using that easily took 30+ minutes, lots of fiddling with BlueTooth and wifi settings and sometimes just plain refused to work. I'm going to go ahead and rate 5 stars across the board in spite of the faulty product. It happens. Their response to the problem blows me away. I don't review things often, this one demanded I do so. If something changes I will update.

Works as designed, high quality build, accurate and convenient technology, worth the price
I am setting up a timer for my garden to water while I am away from the house. I bought this because it is the only timer I could find that I could control through Wi-Fi. I was worried because of the limited number of reviews and none from the US but it appears those worries were unwarranted. Initial set up was a breeze as the result of well written instructions and QR codes on both the gateway (the device that hooks up to your internet) and link (the device that hooks up to the hose). A test run showed it to work perfectly. I am now going to order a second link because I have two zones. Part of the process is to download an app to your smart phone. My initial experience with the app shows it to be easy to use and understand. I have not installed the waterflow monitor (that will notify you of water usage changes) and have not investigated the "rain skip" function in the app. I will update after I have finished the installation of the 2nd link and used it for a few weeks. 1st update: I received the GS1 standalone and attempted to add it pursuant to the instructions. It did not initially connect automatically. I went to the linktap website and sent an email to customer support on a weekday evening at 10 pm US EDT. I received a response within minutes. (I assume customer service is on Australian time, 12 - 14 hours ahead of EDT.) The rep noticed that I had not gone into the app settings to add a link via the taplinker section (unfortunately that is not in the written directions). Once I did that it connected immediately. I will update again after a couple of weeks of use. 2nd update: I couldn't be happier with this product. It is worth the price. It is working flawlessly. The rain skip function (works both on actual rainfall in the last 24 hours and predicted rainfall in the next 24 hours) has been perfect once I adjusted how much rainfall triggers the skip. The default was a little low. I can't imagine what would cause me to update this further

Reliable
Purchased this to replace an Orbit b-hyve that I've "tolerated" for about 3 years. So far a few weeks in, I'm happy with this decision. Setup was easy. I get reliable notifications (not the case with the Orbit). The app isn't going to win any awards for sleek/cool design, but it's intuitive and functional, and that's what is important to me. I like that the unit has a water flow meter, although it doesn't line up exactly with the consumption noted with the Phyn I have monitoring the house, it's within 0.2gpm typically. It would be nice if the bridge had a wireless connectivity option, rather than needing a hard wire connection to my router-- those ports are limited in supply with my Eero network. But, maybe that means a more robust and fuss free ownership experience, so I'm willing to work with it.

An amazing device
You know that expression, you didn't realize how badly you needed something till you have it? Well, that is definitely true with my D1. I have bonsai trees and was going to be away for a couple of weeks. No knowledgeable water help was available and I was quite concerned about how my trees were going to survive. LinkTap D1 to the rescue. I was searching for a water timer but everything I found was either way to simple or didn't have the options I was looking for. Stumbled across the D1 and after reading about the almost endless options and high praise reviews, I bit the bullet and bought one. Pricey? Yes, but more than worth the money. If you have horticulture investments be it flowers, shrubs, a garden or in my case bonsai trees, this device pays for itself in the first couple of weeks or less. There are so many programing options that it just blows your mind. Not only programing options but information about how much water you used, the cost of what you have water (have to get what your local water department charges for your water rate and program that in). It will tell you if there is a problem and what the problem is, you can program one event a day for each outlet or multiple events per day for each outlet, independent of each other. Shoot, it even tells you what the weather is and if it has rained it will let you know that as well and adjust watering accordingly. You can even start or shut down watering without affecting a program. The app is amazing. Just not enough good things to say about this device. Well done, guys!!!
