In my town, though the tap water is safe to drink, it is hard and has high mineral content that gives it a taste that some might find strange. The Brita products are a great help in removing the funny taste. I have used some regular Brita filter pitchers in the past, but many times it was difficult to tell when to change the filter. I often was the only user and I was not sure if a time based approach ( 2 month) worked because I was also traveling much and felt like I might not be using 40 gallons in two months. Also, in the old pitchers, I could not remove the top part (that holds the filter) to clean; after a few years, I would see deposits at the base of the container and it was difficult to clean. This pitcher addresses both these issues (replacement tracking, cleaning). I got this pitcher around 14 months ago and the indicator light still works great. As I had suspected earlier, I got the filter change indication for the first filter after more than 5 months, that suggests that I was underusing the filter in my old pitcher. Also, the top part can be removed completely and all parts can be cleaned to one's heart's content and I find that very helpful. Overall, a great, effective, and easy to use product, and a great value for money in the long run. It is large yet easily portable, more efficient due to the indicator light, and easy to maintain and clean; the material is strong and I do not see any cracking/chipping/scratching on the body. The two filters that came with it also added to the value.

This filter is working great for us. The filter works fairly quickly. The water seems to be well filtered and tastes good. The capacity is working fine for our household of 4 adults. Doesn’t run out, too fast. Haven’t had leaking or spilling issues. The parts seem to fit together just fine.

Grabbed this on sale since our old Brita was over thirty years old. It's fairly large so make sure it will fit where you want it to go. It's well made and much nicer than the old square one that you had to remove the lid to fill, and this has a thumb lever to open the lid. The SmartLight LED at the spout comes on when you pour, and the flow is very controlled to eliminate any spilling. We haven't used it enough yet to get the indications to replace the filter, and I'm not sure how that works, if by the pours or the fills. One thing to note is that it's fairly heavy when fully filled and can be awkward to handle, so the smaller six cup might be a better choice for some people. Anyway, we like ours.

Great tasting water and so clean and clear. Plus I am saving money and helping the environment by not buying plastic bottles. Works perfect for me and I keep it in my room since I drink my water at room temperature. I fill it every day because I am a water drinker. Enjoy!

Fits easily in my fridge, water tastes good. Battery in the lid lasts nearly forever, and notifies me when it's time to change the filter. I will say that sometimes I do change the filter before the light says it's time because I notice the water doesn't move as quickly through the filter as it does when it's new.

I love this pitcher. It looks nice, I like the color. The light the blinks when you pour the water is helpful to see when you need to replace the filter. It's nice and big so I am not refilling the pitcher so often.

I upgraded to this larger size after having the slimmer version for many years - what an improvement! A reasonable amount of water (almost a full resuable water bottle) fits into the filter cup in one attempt so it's quick and easy to get enough water when you need it. I also really like the light that confirms the status of your filter cause otherwise I would probably wait too long to change it. It is also very easy to clean (and keep clean!) I've had this for about 3? months now and no issues so far
