It's Pure Organics Organic Hair Dye - Herbal Hair Colour Natural Brown

Like most mature ladies (60ish) I am plagued with thinning hair and greys. I began to realise that using nasty chemicals to colour my hair was exacerbating my problems - I was losing more hair, what I had was straw like and my scalp was in poor condition. I looked for a more natural solution and this for me is it. I was a fair haired child who turned mousey brown and now have a lot of grey around the front of my head. Using the Natural Brown Herbal colourant gives me beautiful gradations of tones from dark blonde to brown and totally covers the greys. I was worried that anything with a henna base would turn my greys red and this is certainly not the case with this colour - it was slightly true with the dark brown which I tried first but it was subtle and pretty just not me. My scalp is great now and my hair is soft and silky, I don't even use conditioner anymore. It may seem expensive but I get three uses from one box for a chin length bob. It is easy to use - just mix to a yogurt like consistency and apply then go about your business wearing the provided cap. The length of time you leave it on the deeper the colour - I do four hours - and it lasts a month. Good tips - always wash your hair first and dry before applying as this will remove product and dirt which may obstruct the colour, also if you have product buildup or you want to go lighter I find Vosene lightens this herbal colour quickly. ADDED - after using for a while my hair has take on an ombre effect - it gets darker as it gets to the ends. Despite using a natural brown continued usage has actually made a lot of my hair near black which doesn't look natural. I know you expect the ends with more die in to be darker but the depth of the contrast is really stark. The product has also removed the curl from my hair - it is soft and shiny but straight.

Long winded and a bit messy to use and you need to be careful. I left it on for two & a half hours, so the colour was even and very close to the colour on the packet. My hair is short so I only needed to use one packet. You need to mix it very slowly to a slightly runny paste and leave it for a couple of minutes, as it then goes firm. I stood in the shower and put it on as I have an electric lit mirror opposite and could see what I was doing. I only dropped one tiny bit and I found it fairly easy. I would advise that putting clingfilm round your head instead of the cap as it is a lot better. They only supply one pair of gloves which is slightly annoying when you can get two dyes if your hair is short. All in all though it is worth it if you have sensitive issues.

Much better than other hair dyes because it doesn't dye your skin or the sink or anything else in the bathroom where you might accidentally spill some of it. This is because it works slowly so you have time to clean up. The colour is great also and lasts as long as any other dye and it's all natural so I'm not worrying about it being in contact with my skin. Need to allow an hour or so for it to work but that's a small price to pay for all the benefits. I wear a plastic shower cap to stop the paste drying out while its working.

This is great hair dye to cover some greys.. sometimes I have to dye my new roots twice a couple days apart for it to take properly, but once I’ve done this it stays in. Very natural looking brown & keeps my hair in great condition. Really recommend.

Wow! I did not expect much of this product & was afraid I was going to end with orange hair. Nonetheless, I was so happy with the result that didcmy friend's hair too. I did not had many grey hairs, but she did and has covered them perfectly. Natural brown, left it 1 h and 30 min.
