High Quality, Lower Price
Ordered for my German Shepherd's whelping pen. I got something that could feel like a den when covered with blankets. I'm going to use pool noodles and zip ties for pig rails. Overall, it is $81 cheaper than the 60"x60"x24" prefab whelping box, and it's 59" diameter and 36" high. Cons (2 out of 3 easily fixable): -no case for transporting/storing -no square shaped covers (only octagon) -the door doesn't go all the way to the top, so you have to crawl to get inside Pros: -Easy to set up, despite me almost falling :) The panels are already attached to each other, you just open up the panels one at a time and put included clips on the two ends to join them. It is pretty heavy and the metal bars are just as sturdy as a typical wire kennel. Covers make it even more sturdy and easier to move. -Bottom and top cover are very sturdy and I don't see them being destroyed unless older puppies are left unattended for extended periods. The covers were a pain in the butt to put on, but once I got the hang of it, it went quicker. Follow the pictures in the instructions, and you have to attach the cover to one panel at a time like it says, you can't do it any other way. Bottom cover seems too small, but it's not. -Covers appear waterproof due to vinyl lining, but I imagine if the lining was damaged it would leak. -The 36" high pen will be able to hold all the puppies until 8wk. Size is suitable for most breeds. -Versitile pen with many uses. Spikes to secure kennel to the ground outside are included for outdoor use. -This will be plenty of room for her during whelping (and me if I need to be in there with her). *Right now her bed is in it, but that will come out and padding will go in. Our Rottweiler in the picture is 75lbs for reference. She's petite and a few inches shorter than our shepherd, who is 40" nose to butt. The bed is 42" long.

Worth every penny!
Fantastic play pen! It took me maybe 5 minutes to put it together. I will say, if your puppy is in a biting stage, be careful with the Velcro. My Shih Tzu puppy went to town on one of the straps so I had to remove them. But, the play pen is still super sturdy. Also, the bottom is absolutely leak-proof. My puppy has had a couple accidents and the play pen is in a carpeted room. No problems whatsoever. Worth every penny.

Perfect for training a puppy!
This is very easy to configure with all panels connected in a row. I do wish the other two were connected as well, but the included clips do a good job of keeping those pieces together. I have a very small Maltese mix and purchased the 24 inch. The weight is also not bad at all. It's sturdy, yet light enough I can easily move it or transport it as needed. This is a great training tool and keeps my little pup from something that may hurt him when I'm not looking. It's a great value for the price.

Perfect with a Couple Modifications
Works perfectly for our corgi puppy! It’s sturdy and impossible for a little dog to knock over or climb, and the mat is perfect for a potty training puppy. He hasn’t had any accidents in it yet, but the mat seems waterproof, and I think the texture discouraged peeing/pooping in the pen like he might on carpet. It’s also big enough to sit in the pen with him, which helps with getting him used to being in it by himself. The pen is easy to set up and take down. My only complaints: (1) The Velcro straps that connect the mat to the panels are an obvious target for chewing and tugging. My puppy went for them immediately. We took the Velcro straps off, and the mat stays in place, so it’s not a problem. But I’d rather just get the mat without them to begin with because they’re a pain to take off. (2) You have to crawl inside the pen because the metal panel continues over the door. A door you can walk through would be a lot easier, especially with a puppy who tries to jump out of the pen as you crawl in.

Good Quality Pen
We bought both the top cover and bottom pad along with the 8-panel pen. I would highly recommend having two people install the top and bottom. I did it myself, but it was tedious and cumbersome trying to undo the velcro, feed it through the fencing and then fasten it securely. At times, I was inside the pen. The quality of the material on the top cover seems quite durable. The bottom pad is durable, waterproof and easily wipes clean. We have a 7 month old English Cocker Spaniel who is about 20 pounds. He fits nicely in the pen and has plenty of room for walking around even with his bed, toys, food and water enclosed. We're quite happy so far. Our only concern (minor) is the three clips that came with the pen to secure the two ends together. They seem like a poor choice. They're too big, yet poor quality, and don't seem like they were intended for this product. (Maybe I'm doing it wrong?) We can go to a hardware store at a later date to choose a better style of clips.
