Oh my! What a suspense builder this is! Amusing story of a mean, hungry crocodile who dreams of eating children! Each page talks about how the wily crocodile plots to get his meal and how all the other animals support the children. And of course, children win and the crocodile is swing around and thrown up in to the air like a rocket by an elephant. Complete fantasy, good vocabulary and leaves kids with a smile at the end! Recommended for 5 -7 crowd.

Good story..but only 64 pages book...good paper quality and binding.

For a small book, I found this one to be expensive. Given its glossy papers and colour illustrations, the price is justified. The story is of a greedy crocodile that wanted to eat up children. His plan is foiled by other animals. They warned the children before the horrible animal managed gobble them up. At last Trunky the elephant swung the crocodile fast and then threw him in the sky. The crocodile hit the sun and was sizzled up in the sun's heat. The writer's language is excellent. He writes in natural English idiom that is rare to find in American and Indian books written for children. All children should read as much of Roald Dahl as they can. I envy my son for he would be reading Dahl at an early age. I must say, however, that this book is for children above five or for children who can read on their own. My son is just four. I bought the book but the story is rather long for him to stay interested in it. The story is text heavy and pictures are small.

It's a fantastic book telling us that greed is bad

My 7 year old son literally loved it and kept on reading it again and again. He now wants the entire series.
