The winner of my gladitorial timer tournament
I bought this along with 2 other timers for my kids to use over a year ago and this one is the only survivor. The first to go down was the generic mechanical egg timer after a few months of very light use. The next contender was a "60 minute Visual Timer" of which there are now plenty of knock offs on Amazon all with the same visual wheel and a max time of 60 minutes. That one lasted a year before it too suffered a break in something physical and wouldn't turn. Good riddance too. With no way to pause or time anything beyond an hour it was the least favorite of the kids. This one is going strong and unlike all the others it's store page still exists. Plenty of regular use, probably quite a few drops and bumps. The visual aspect isn't amazing. As others have stated it's variable as what the visual wheel represents and therefore kind of arbitrary. However it's been infinitely useful with it's ability to pause and resume and time setting so simple a kid could do it. The batteries have held out this long as well with daily use.

Time timer times TIME, not eggs! (lol at the name)—it’s a great device!
I love almost everything about this timer— it’s adorable look, the visible countdown, the simplicity. You literally just dial how many minutes you want and push the button. Push to turn off. Does increments of full minutes, so no seconds counting. But that’s fine as I use it for piano practice mostly. I do wish the bottom part had a flat section or a stand to keep it upright though. Otherwise, great magnetic use.

Great timer, no off button but otherwise great!
I really like this timer, I bought it for our 7 year old to help her keep on track for bedtime and getting ready for school in the morning. I love how you can see the time go down but also the digital display is why I bought this one because it has 2 visuals. The alarm when it goes off is a bit annoying and long but you can press the pause button and it shuts it off. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because once you start the timer the there is no going back. I wish there was an option to shut it off. Seems super weird to me you can’t shut it off.

Works very well for kids.
I am using this to teach my kids about time. I use it to show them how much play time they have left, or how long the time out is going to last. Being able to see the bars disappearing really helps them to understand the concept of passing time. I have not had any fights or issues with them since using this. I will tell them they have 10 minutes left to play, for example, and then when the timer goes off there is no argument. Times up. Setting it is really easy, you just spin the ring around to the desired time and hit play. It has a magnet on the back to stick it to any metal surface. I wish it had a spot to put a string to hang it up, but I work around it. Sometimes there is no magnetic surface where I want to use it. The battery seems to last like forever. I have been using it for months and didn't need to change it yet.

Horrifically flawed
First, I love the time timer concept and I own many timers from this brand. Unfortunately, accuracy and durability are not their strong suit. I hoped this model would be better than the others. I was soooooooo wrong. It is the worst Time Timer of them all. Flaws 1. It is round, so it cannot rest on a table or it will roll off 2. It has magnets on the back to attach to a metal surface but the magnets are so small and weak that it constantly falls off my metal surface 3. When it falls, the battery door flies off across the room and each of the AAA batteries fly in different directions 4. The lens on the LCD is HORRIBLE. It has a single viewing angle. If you look at the timer straight on, you CANNOT READ IT. If you look at it from above, YOU CANNOT READ IT. It is only visible if it above you and you are looking up at it. So in summary, it's not legible, it won't stay still, it breaks apart, and it's too loud and it has no silent mode. There are many many cheaper and better options to this timer. I somehow forgot to take the return package to UPS before the return window closed and now Im stuck with this garbage!

This timer is at best just OK.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Needed a kitchen timer because my old wind-up timer was destroyed. I picked this one because it seemed to be a good size and reasonably well reviewed. I have now used the timer in the kitchen, daily for 5 months. The timer was at best ok when new. The contrast of the dial is not great so it’s a bit hard to read if the lighting is not fairly bright. After 5 months the setting ring has become erratic. When you try to set a time the numbers sometimes jump over the time you want and sometimes even go backwards. So setting the timer is less easy now. Also the start/stop membrane switch will clearly start to fail after a few years of use. This timer seemed the best I could do when I bought it but give me a wind-up timer any time.

Best Timer to help with ADHD time blindness!
I know these timers are marketed a lot towards kids but honestly if it helps, who cares? After being diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s, this timer has helped me curb the amount of time I lose doing different tasks due to time blindness that comes with ADHD. I am still struggling to get an accurate feel for the correct amount of time passage, which I have considered may never happen for me but I am still gunna try! However, as long as I keep this timer within eye sight and easily accessible, I am drawn to use it. It helps me see how long tasks actually take me so that I can plan ahead better and when I finish something early I can visually see the difference! My whole life I have always felt behind and rushing to catch up and this has helped curbed some of that. The main issue for ADHDers is that you actually have to regularly use it for it to make a difference. ;)

Easy to use, very good visual for our children to count down screen time allowed every day. Goes up to 90 minutes, which is handy for the weekends when more time is allowed.

This product started malfunctioning after a few months. Rotating the wheel does not decrement the timer anymore. There is some loose contact with the timer wheel.
