COLCASE Fireproof Document Bag

I have been using these sorts of "firerproof bags" for many years for storing RC lithium polymer batteries. In the RC hobby, these bags are generically called a "LiPo Sack". Such batteries can have a flammably bad day if they are overcharged or damaged. Sometimes the damage isn't visible so it's best to be safe. I keep LiPo batteries inside while charging and while transporting to and from the flying field with my aircraft in my car or truck. I've even had my smaller chargers inside the sack with a battery while charging, with only the power supply leads coming out the corner where the flap folds down. This bag is larger than my other Lipo Sacks. The flap that secures it closed is around twice the length of the others, and so is the hook and loop fastener. This allows the bag to expand to hold more items, thicker items and still be able to close securely. That's been a limit on my other bags, especially with a charger inside, but also as I'm flying larger aircraft that use some seriously large battery packs. The price is comparable to what I have paid for smaller RC Lipo Sacks, but with the larger size it's a particularly great value. On top of that, the quality of the seams, velcro, rounded edges is simply better. It clearly has a sticky/slippery silicone impregnated exterior, much more than others, and a tighter weave fiberglass lining the interior. The silver outside is definitely not silver duct tape but appears to be a flame retardant material. I'm not going to intentionally start a fire inside or outside of it to see how it and the contents survive, but the construction is superior to others I've been using for years. Until I found this Colcase bag, I didn't know that these bags were also used for storing documents to keep them safe from fire. It actually makes sense for that purpose. I did try to fit some documents inside, and am pleased that the large UPS Priority Mail cardboard envelope, thick with all of my tax stuff return inside, fits nicely inside with room to spare for several more. It's a pretty roomy bag to store documents. I actually keep super important stuff in the safe deposit box, but for things around the house, before I get to the bank, I might pick up another one as I intend to use this very nice one for RC batteries exclusively. On top of that, it arrived in 1 day from Amazon. Can't beat that.

Disclaimer: This item was provided for testing and review purposes. Still, this is my honest review of this product! I did not expect much from this bag. I planned to use it to charge my Lipo batteries in as I am an avid FPV pilot. I must first say that I am blown away by the quality of the bag. Bags I purchased in the past were not nearly as high quality, The material is thick and the bag is well-made with strong stitching. So far, I have charged 4s 650/700 mah batteries on a parallel charging board. It has worked flawlessly and I expect this one to last longer than my previous bags (by other companies) that were not as well-made! I was concerned about the size -- I didn't think the parallel charging board would fit, but I charge all my batteries in this bag (including 4s 1300mah lipos). I paid about half the price of this one for my previous bags, but there is a very noticeable difference in quality and material used. I would say this bag is well worth the price!

The fabric is strong and impressive. It has a sturdy velcro flap that leaves two "holes" at the bend in the fold where smoke/water could get in. It's large enough for full-sized documents and the silver surface is rubbery and beads water. This is better than most, but the lack of a zipper gives it 4 stars.

I bought this bag primarily for storage of sometimes flammable and explode-able lithium-polymer (lipo) batteries. These batteries are commonly used for FPV RC quadcopters and flames. The bag is very high quality with rubberized-feeling finish on the outside and shiny fiberglass-looking interior. It has a top velcro flap that closes tightly, but not tight enough to make it a bomb in case of internal fire, so that is always a plus. When it comes to size, I was able to fit 10 1300-1500mah 4S lipos, and the bag was about 1/3 full. This bag would provide enough space to fill it enough batteries for a solid FPV flying session. Shape of the bag is very suitable for fitting inside of a backpack. The bag can also be used to store paperwork and documents safely. The dimensions allow to easily fit several manila folders for safe storage. Overall I really like this bag. It is a high quality product I would recommend to anybody.

This is a quality fireproof document bag, great value. The stitching is excellent and very strong. A picture is included showing the front of the bag as received, and a couple of close ups of the stitching. I was surprised by the quality. It is large enough to easily hold 8 1/2" x 11" documents so you can protect all your important papers. These would make great gifts and I plan to buy them for each of my family during the year. The velcro closure is strong and grips well, you don't need to worry about it falling open. All in all for the price, it's a great buy and will last many years.

Very pleased with this fireproof case. Well made. Hope I never have to test it out. But happy to have it for important papers for safe keeping. I have a fireproof lock box, but this case is easier to store in a drawer or wherever. Large enough for small items also.

Great looking, excellent feels to it, high quality fireproof bag. Held fire to it for 20 seconds and it withstood the flames without any damage. I refuse to set on fire a battery to test it further. I do however always charge my batteries when im in the room so 10secs would be all the time i need. The colors are easy on the eyes. The strong long velcro are a welcome site, so is its width. I sure iill use this bag over my other smaller lipo fireproofing bags. A nice touch is its big size for documents protection. Stick this bad inside an ammo can or a safe to double up on incase the unfortunate happens. Buy this baby, you wont regret it.

Nice product....much needed

Arrived in good condition. No visible problems, but obviously am not testing this in a fire to confirm it's protection is as advertised. Will just have to trust them. Fits a decent amount of documents, even some slightly larger than A4 in plastic protective sleeves. Am going to put this in a bigger fire proof case for double the protection in case one fails to protect as advertised.

Arrived quickly. Has 2 compartments and can actually hold quite alot of stuff in it. Worth the purchase
