Great phone case. This is my third Catalyst brand case. In the past I've had the waterproof version too but that one makes the phone much bigger and harder to hear. Had several other brands in between but this Catalyst has excellent drop protection. In general, it is a little slick if laying on smooth surface but it has small grooves on the edges to aid in gripping. The forward-facing speakers are a game changer. Makes the volume so much louder when listening to music, facetiming, or watching TV. Highly recommend.

Great case , slim and thin but still strong enough to protect the phone, side s are fairly grippy, want a slim case and that will protect, can’t go wrong with this case , the clear back doesn’t scratch up as easy as you think, no scratches so far and it been a month, definitely add this to your case wardrobe and rocket a few weeks out of the month or so!

I bought this case to show off my iPhone 16 Pro, but was looking for more protection than a cheap slim crystal case. This Catalyst case looked pretty clean while still being rugged. I don’t like the military styling of some other rugged cases. This Catalyst Influence case feels really good in the hand. It has tapered edges on the bumper, which is way more comfortable for my fingers to wrap around, but it’s also easy to slip into my pockets. It’s hard to see, but the sides have a grippy texture that prevents it from slipping from my grasp. A few really stand out features, in my opinion: 1. The bumper and corners feel SOLID. Like, break my table solid. I have zero fear of my phone breaking if I should ever drop it while in this case. 2. The front screen and the camera lens on the back are well protected from scratches and bumps, but I’ll still add glass screen protectors just in case so I won’t ever need to replace them. 3. The Camera Control button access: I saw some other cases that had a huge hole in the side but they had a lot of complaints because it was right where your thumb would go. I was a little worried, but after getting this case, the carve out for the Camera Control button is large enough for easy access and the shape is really comfortable and natural to hold. 4. METAL BUTTONS! Like actual metal (aluminum?), not painted silver plastic. They feel so good! And the clickiness (is that a word?) is awesome. Makes me want to press the buttons like a fidget toy. The iPhone doesn’t like when I do that ☹️ Overall, this case feels super solid. The fit is tight and perfect. It’s a big step up over my last case. It gives me confidence that my iPhone will be safe. That’s good news especially since I was too cheap to buy extra Apple Care hehe. One thing that annoyed me was the packaging. It looks nice, but I couldn’t open it up without tearing it. Not a big deal, but fair warning to be super careful opening it if you might need to return it for a refund. Doesn't matter to me since I’m going to keep this one. Edit: Just before I was about to post my review, I watched a YouTube video on my phone and only then did I realize the iPhone speaker sound is coming out of the FRONT, aimed right at me! I’ve never seen (heard?) another case do that!? Other cases just have holes at the bottom, and the sound shoots out straight, just like the regular iPhone without a case. Not bad but not always loud enough. This Catalyst Influence case redirects the audio out the front, so it actually sounds louder because it’s pointed right at me! Duuuuude. This is SO GOOD and way easier to hear for family Facetime calls, especially when there’s a lot of noise in the background!

I had my Catalyst case for my iPhone 14 Pro Max for almost 6 months. I thought I’d ordered the MagSafe version but apparently not, which was a disappointment. Even more disappointing was that the lanyard suddenly broke and my phone plunged into the ocean! I contacted the company for support and requested a MagSafe-compatible replacement or refund. They didn’t do either and I was sent tracking info for an iPhone 14 Pro case which will not fit my phone! Waiting to see if they correct this, and will update my review accordingly. For now, I would stay clear of this case and company! UPDATE: company sent exact replacement after initially mistakenly sending the wrong size, even though I requested a refund or a MagSafe one. I do appreciate the replacement, and them honoring their warranty, so am adding back a couple of stars.

DURABILITY & QUALITY DESIGN Overall great case. Durable dropped my iPhone 14 pro max about 3 major times and I’m pretty careful with my phone. I got less and less worried each drop after the first because that was the worse: someone bumped/slapped my phone out of my hand in a crowded bar scene.. now I use the included lanyard lol. Other times include a drop at hip/pocket height onto hardwood floors, and once into concrete coming out of my car. My phone is still flawless, and the case has very minimal wear if at all noticeable because i got the black color. In addition to the mute toggle wheel design, the sides have a textured feel that I can only describe as skateboard grip tape made of rubber, and it’s visually unnoticeable on the black case. DISLIKES/CONS -Will add visible thickness but does feel relatively thin in hand. It’s far from being considered bulky. But if you’re a minimalist and bought the iPhone for its thin sleek design, it might not be for you. But I would say it is thin when compared to comparable name brands with good protection. -OK magnet, wish the magsafe magnet was more stronger. It’s decent but still moves on connections/accessories like driving mounts because of the smoothness of the case. -Frosted case, which is good for preventing yellowing of case plastic in long term. However, will make your iPhone’s color unnoticeable. BOTTOM LINE If my case were lost or damaged I would buy another one. I’m more of a minimalist case person, wish they made just the bumper. I highly recommend this case. it may seem overpriced at first. But i would say it’s adequately valued as it effectively protects a very expensive product with quality build and functional design.

Everything about this case is perfect. I have tried many other brands, but none compare to the quality and design of this case. Pros: -Textured Sides for grip -Forward facing speakers for better sound quality -MagSafe and magnets are strong! -Frosted back and goodbye fingerprints and scratches -Mute toggle switch which people have complemented on my case -Floating buttons for easy pressing -Lanyard which can be attached to the case Overall this case gets a 100/10 from me. Catalyst for life 😎😎😎.

It’s literally a case you could get from the dollar store. Doesn’t protect anything. Fits well but an overall waste of money. I returned mine.

I ordered a catalyst case for my se 2020 back then. Love the lanyard. Protection was great. A lil smooth and slippery when damp. This new case has gripps on the sides!! You can choose which corner lanyard or tie goes in. Buttons improved,! Only sad part is lack of color choices. I enjoyed the pink trim with clear back to display a skin i chose. This is frosted. I still ordered a skin and will see how it shows through. Only had a week so hopefully this protects as well as other case! I definitely put last phone to drop test , not on purpose and phone survived and case did too. hopefully this case is as impressive as last one I had!! The new design also seems to make it louder and sounds clear! Happy so far!!!
