Amazingly easy to set up. Make sure to follow the instructions. It advises if you put all the parts in numerical order it will make your life easier. does it ever. My dog loves the house, it seems very sturdy and I think it will last for a very long time

This dog house is easy to put together. It took my outdoor dog about one week to decide to use it. I now find he enjoys the comfort (added a soft bed) and security. If your dog is large and thick, consider adding a plywood base. We believe the floor needs more support. We did not want to have our pet break through. I would still recommend this product!

Well designed dog house, 10 year warranty, super strong and easy to assemble. Don't be discouraged at a few negative reviews, I admit I was initially, but looking at the overall design, materials used I gave this one a chance. It takes about 45 min to assemble. No tools needed just line up and push into the locking slots. Instructions are easy to follow and the dog house is waterproof, can be stained, painted. The roof slides out for easy cleaning, the floor is rock solid, braced with aluminum bars for strength, also easy to clean inside and out. Filled this one up with some straw so hopefully our friendly Fox Peanut will use this for shelter in the fall, winter.

This dog house took about 45 minutes to lay out and put together. Its tongue and groove design snaps together easily. The material is kind of thin but seems much more durable than the wood dog house options available at our local retailers and it is easier to clean. It also provides much more protection from the weather than the majority of the plastic options.. While I would have preferred a top that could be easily opened for cleaning, the large doorway and corner drain holes make it do-able, along with the raised design which allows water to drain out. We added a thick rubber mat cut to size for comfort and the vinyl door flaps to maximize protection from the elements. The predrilled holes on the inside of the door frame were very convenient for this. While the size of this dog house is very spacious for the 40 lb beagle, it is cramped for the just over 100 lb German Shepherd. In my opinion, the measurements of this dog house are best suited for a dog up to 70 lbs. While it is described as XL, it will not fit your XL breed dogs so pay attention to those measurements. Overall, I found the $200 price point to be reasonable for the quality of its design, construction, materials and size.

I ordered two houses. One arrived with a piece broken off. The piece was still in the box so I glued it back on and finished the assembly. The assembly, by the way, is quite fun--it reminded me of Lincoln Logs, and my little daughter loved helping with it. One cold, icy morning below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, I tried to pick up one of the houses to move it so I could more easily get to something behind the dog houses. I grasped the edges of the roof and pulled straight up, expecting to just pick the house up and set it out of my way. I picked something up alright: it was the entire roof of the dog house, while the rest of the house stayed frozen to the ground. The brackets/sections of the wall (don't recall exactly how the house was held together and haven't yet tried to take it back apart to see if I can fix it) holding the roof on had split along their whole length on both sides. I mentioned how cold it was in case that had something to do with it, but since one house arrived already slightly broken, I doubt the cold had much to do with it. I also recall cracking another piece when I had to pull a few pieces apart again while assembling it in quite mild temperatures. Furthermore, there were no "cannot be used in extreme temperatures" warnings either online or in the box. I would rather the company sent me a new dog house for free, as I quite like the design and am capable dealing with fragile items, but I do want to warn others as fragility is not a quality I would expect anyone to value in a dog house.
