Adorable, excellent tutorial with video support for Beginner-crocheters!
Buy this! What a fun project! I broke my ankle and wanted to use my time to learn something new, and this kit really delivered! The videos walk you through everything you need to know, pausing between each little step, so you don’t get lost. I chose the lion design to gift to my grandmother who is a Leo and unfortunately isn’t doing well. This particular design was more complex than I thought, and I did make a few mistakes, but the final product still looks decent if a tad lopsided! I felt very accomplished for my first ever stab at crochet and learned a great deal of stitches that I feel I can replicate on other projects. I appreciate the videos so much and being able to rewatch them to understand the particulars about how to construct various stitches. There was really only one complicated stitch step that I couldn’t quite figure out from the tutorial, but after creating 37 of the stitches to build the mane of the lion, I finally got the hang of it! Very cute, very bent toward success for beginners, user-friendly, clear, and encouraging! Saw this in a NYTimes Wirecutter article and was so glad it came across my screen when it did! I think the experience was worth the price!

Great way to learn to crochet!
My Wooble came out so cute! The video instructions are really beginner friendly, slow, and easy to follow. This is a great way to learn to crochet and I’ve ordered a few more to learn more skills! I’ve also been able to make small items from patterns after just this kit!

Great beginner project - you’ll learn a lot!
This is a great beginner kit for crochet. I had no experience with crochet and ended up with a cute gift for a friend’s birthday! It definitely was a challenge but just enough to keep going. Here was my experience that I wish someone had shared with me to make sure I wasn’t completely off: 1) Started with the pre-started magic circle. Super confused with the stitches initially, as you jump immediately into the “increase stitch” which is two single crochet stitches on the same “v” hole. The video walks you through the first couple rounds and it’s intimidating to go by yourself. Felt like I was in over my head! I made a couple mistakes and ended up “frogging” - removing all the stitches I made a few times. TIP: Don’t be afraid to restart - the starter piece does not unravel! You just have to look out for the “v” since the stitch marker is removed. I also completed Pierre over a few days (2+ hours a day, total 8+ hours?) and felt my muscle memory improved! 2) Counting stitches is really confusing initially. Definitely write it down as the videos advise! TIP: Don’t forget to put your stitch marker in each round! When I got faster, I forgot and had to undo a bit to count everything again. 3) Right before you stuff the body and start the decrease stitches, it will look kinda big. This is normal. Stitching the piece closed with the tapestry needle was less intimidating than I thought it would be. 4) The white tummy was initially frustrating, there was always a hole no matter how tight I did the “easier” method. I clicked “help” and ended up doing the magic circle which was less difficult than I thought because of the step by step. TIP: For the magic circle, make the slip knot, chain stitch, and crochet stitches bigger than your regular stitches as they will become smaller when you pull it to make a circle! (I got really frustrated initially as I couldn’t put my hook through, and loosening the stitches helped) 5) Sewing the tummy to the body - redid this a few times to make sure it was really centralized between the eyes, and at the right height! 6) Beak - another magic circle! With experience under my belt, I took my time to try to do this from memory, made a lot of mistakes, and really absorbed the concept. Remember to turn the piece inside out. 7) Wings - a little complicated as it incorporates chain stitches, turns, and slightly more 3D. TIP: When you start to sew the wing flat at stitches 1&2, put a stitch marker across stitches 7&8 as it will become harder to see them. Make sure you follow the instructions on attaching the piece correctly each time. If you’re a stickler, make the wing pieces first before sewing on - mine ended up slightly different sizes but it adds to the charm (and I was so happy to be done!) 8) HOOKED! Ended up giving the piece to a friend and tried to make a second Pierre. Didn’t have enough yarn by round 10 so I had to give it up and make a tiny one! Thinking about getting Wooble. Bought regular yarn and ohhhh easy peasy yarn is SO much easier to work with. Thanks Woobles for introducing me to this hobby! Experienced crocheters may consider this pricey but for a total beginner like me this was a great kit to not have to think about getting all the yarn colors, correctly sized hook, yarn, and eye pieces! Looking at other free tutorials and patterns as my next step, none of them are as straightforward. Big kudos to Woobles!

Bought for my granddaughter, at her request. She was disappointed in that the video was much too short for her to grasp the information offered

I love everything Woobles! If you are learning to crochet use one of their kits! If you have tried to learn before and failed (like me), use their kits! If you just want high quality amigurumi kits, look no further. I can’t wait to buy more!

My daughter liked her and had a good time at her work and it was very easy to explain it in the video in detail

I bought this crochet kit because of all the good reviews. Turns out, it is just overpriced t-shirt yarn. Amigurumi is not made with t-shirt yarn. The video is too long. There is no printed instruction booklet either.
