Peters Caramel Block by Kauffman Orchards For Caramel Apples and Candy Making, 5 Lb.

I buy a 5 lb block of this about once a year to make turtles, most of which I gift to friends. Great texture and taste, and easy to work with and store.

This is THE BEST caramel for dipping. I use this product (always) when making my chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered apples. I dip the pretzel/apple in Peter's Caramel, then roll in chopped peanuts, and finally dip in chocolate. They are a hit every Christmas and make a wonderful homemade gift!

This caramel is the best around! Whenever I use it, I eat like 1/3 of what I cut off to use. ;) It’s DELICIOUS! Soft texture which is easily malleable, yet holds shape when dipped in chocolate so it’s super easy to use!

I've ordered several of these caramel blocks over the years. Previous blocks have been very manageable in terms of being able to trim off just what I need when I need it. This block was extremely gooey and near impossible to cut precisely. Layers of it stuck to the plastic wrapper. It was still delicious, and I would buy again, but there is some unnecessary hassle here.

The caramel had shifted to mostly one side and it was very challenging to get the wrapping around the caramel off because it stuck to it. The caramel is delicious though.

This caramel makes the best chocolate pecan turtles. I can’t even make caramel as good as this. I sell chocolates at our local market and I sell out of turtles every time.
