Wood, very smooth and larger enough to hold different sized cups. 3 and 5 ounces dixie cups are ideal.

This cup holder is just okay. I actually thought it would be ceramic but it is inexpensive balsa-type wood, flimsy, but it serves the purpose of holding 3oz bathroom rinse cups. I think I had looked at so many, that was the confusion of it being wood.

Bigger than expected
Bought this for bathroom cups but it’s too big. It fits solo cups, so I use it in my kitchen instead. It’s cute, wood not ceramic. Well made, cute rounded feet. Serves its purpose.
