Zaatar - Mediterranean Salt Free Za'ater Seasoning with Genuine Hyssop - 7.0 OZ No Salt Seasoning and Spices

I’ve tried a dozen different brands and this is the only one that is pure and the real deal. I love all the products from this company and use them almost daily. This is made with the herb Za’tar which is sometimes called wild thyme but it’s not actually thyme, it is a hyssop, the hyssop mentioned in the Bible, the scientific name is Origanum syriacum and it tastes like a pungent oregano, a truly addictive aroma and flavor. It also has seasame and sumac, the only three ingredients you should ever see in an authentic Lebanese zaatar blend and salt is also added unless you buy it like this without it which I prefer so I can control the amount. Other regions sometimes add cumin or other spices too but I prefer the true Lebanese blend and this is an excellent one. I have purchased from this company many many times and I most often just buy the plain hyssop herb straight from this company for making my own blend of zaatar as well as for making a tea along with lemon grass, it’s so good. If you want the finest out there this is really the only brand I’ve found that is authentic and it’s incredibly fresh and flavorful like it was just picked! They are a small company and they give personal service and are very eager to answer any questions, they were very kind and personable when I contacted them. You want to make awesome manoushe buy this brand it’s amazing, I wouldn’t be without this, I go through a lot of it. It’s wonderful on salads and added to marinades, I put it on everything. Try it on a grilled cheese with tomato it will bring you to your knees! Can’t recommend this enough! Check out their full line of products they are all great.

I am hooked on Mediterranean style cooking and needed this spice per chef Suzy from The Mediterranean Diet. This is a new spice for me and I love the taste. The packaging was nice with a resealable closure and looks fresh and tastes fresh. I also liked this product because unlike several others, it is salt free. I like to be in control of my salt intake. I feel this is of excellent quality and value. As a disclosure, I have never had Zaa'tar before so I don't know if another company has a more "authentic" flavor. Tastes great to me.

Exceptional Zaatar seasoning. Rich flavor, fresh, excellent ingredients. I got the salt free version and it’s exquisite. Rich flavor. The best Zaatar I’ve ever had.

This zaatar seems to have good quality ingredients and no salt. The only drawback for me is that it is too expensive

Update to my review below- 02Mar26: In my opinion this is the best zaatar that Amazon has to offer - unfortunately it says currently unavailable. I hope they bring it back soooon! Not only is it salt-free, (excellent salt-free option- I dont even miss salt!!) but is also reasonably priced, very tasty, and lasts me a very long time. I add it now in everything, vegetables, fish, and meat) . I will keep buying this brand only, as long as I can get it. My previous review: Just got it n tasted it! It's sooo yum! It's salt free but because of the sumac (I think) it tastes a tad bit salty n sour...so it will be very good for fish! Hoping n praying I can use this and forgo adding any salt at all! Will update after I use it for a bit

I love this on just about everything! Aside from the incredible flavor it's also salt free a huge bonus (I can add my own salt). If you have never tried it, you should give it a chance and it will be come a staple in your pantry. Jazz up hummus, add to grilled chicken, add to salad dressings, make zaatar fries (you just have to best seasoned fries ever!) the sues are endless. Just buy it and enjoy!

So, I got this zaatar and it's the no salt added kind. It's ok and fresh, but for the price and quantity, I could have gotten 3+ whole 1 lb (16 oz) containers of the stuff (and I'd say that one is actually slightly better tasting - but has roasted wheat). So, my advice is, unless you absolutely need gluten free, go to your local middle eastern store and buy your zaatar there. My store caries Adonis (Palestinian mix) and it is tasty and only 4 dollars some for a 1 lb jar. Hope again this helps.

This is the real mccoy. No fillers and very tasty. I put this on salads, meat, in yogurt, on breads.... pretty much on anything your little heart desires. It's incredibly high in quality and I will continue buying this brand as long as its offered here on Amazon. I tried the salt free variety. Delicious!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
