When you need more than a couple, this is a very economical way to go. Quality is the same ad my local shop sells, but at one quarter the price. Not having to buy the buy the plug separately is a time and money saver.

If you’re buying the large wine jugs at the grocery store so you can reuse the glass then get Carlo Rossi because I can vouch for these stoppers fitting perfectly on the Carlo Rossi wine jugs. In my photo you’ll see 4 of these stoppers (in the back row), which are size 6. In the front you’ll see a 3 gallon carboy that has a size 7 airlock (hopefully, it helps to see the comparison). These #6 stoppers are great, there’s a line so you can tell how high to fill the water in them and they’re easy to use. The stopper comes in 4 parts: 1. the rubber bit, 2. the tube you fill with water, 3. The piece that goes inside the tube with water, and 4. The cap with small holes. I wish they were cheaper but it was the best deal I could find online. These were 5 for $15 when I purchased them. Happy brewing!

I bought these to make mead. Out the 5 we have 4 of them are now cracked. When the package arrived one was broken. then as things got moved about for the holidays the ones not in use (which were in the box) got knocked over on to the floor the remaining three then all appeared to be cracked. Overall they do the intended purpose well.

These are easy to clean and work well. We're using them making both saurkraut and mead. One of the stoppers fits almost flush with the rim of our 1 gallon carboy, but I was still able to remove it to stir the mead. None of the other stoppers sat so low in the other carboys. Regardless, I still recommend these.

Stem is really study and I haven't managed to break them yet

I liked these because they are simple and cheap. However, I have learned that they are very easy to destroy. If you grab the airlock anywhere but at the very base, it will crack down the length of the vessel, rendering it useless. I am going to switch to the twin bubble type, they don't have this inherent design flaw.

I think this was a pretty good deal price wise. Love the bottles and the lock tops that come with them

All five of the plastic airlocks had a crack down the side that leaks water and they don't accept returns.
