I recently forgot my iPad password after having to change it - unfortunately, a few weeks later I had forgotten it as I do not regularly use my iPad. I connected my iPad to my Mac using a USB-C to USB-A cable however my Mac would only charge my iPad, the Mac itself would not recognise that the iPad was connected nor would it show the device in finder or iTunes. I had tried multiple cables and still had the same issue therefore I spoke to Apple Care who advised I would probably need to go into the Apple store to complete the restore of my iPad. After doing some research, I found on the Apple Community website that someone had a similar issue like I was facing - what resolved it for them was using a high quality cable, so on my hunt for a cable I decided to do some research. Apple actually recommends Anker as brand and is one of their recommended brands when it comes to accessories. The cable worked as intended, instantly my Mac recognised my iPad and was able to restore it - I didn't really think that a cable would make much difference considering we tried multiple however I have learnt that when it comes to premium devices such as iPads/iPhones and Macs, is it really worth scrimping on cheap/budget cables. Suitable for charging and data transfer, supports fast charging. The cable is high quality - durable connectors either end which are protected to extend the lifespan, protecting from repeated bending. Highly recommended - will definitely be purchasing Anker cables again and replacing all of our old ones!

Got a new phone and my Android Auto started disconnecting every few minutes, even though I used the same cable that had worked for years. I tried a number of USB-C to USB-A cables sold on Amazon but to no avail, disconnections continued. I almost came to the conclusion that my new phone was not compatible with the car. I got this cable as a replacement for a more expensive one that had unfortunately decided to melt it self - really wasn't a great cable despite the £20 price tag - so when buying a new one I didn't want to pay a high price again and have the same problem as before. This cable arrived promptly and so far has done exactly as listed, I'll list pros and cons so you can better make a judgement! Pros: - Bright red colour is so vibrant, its easier to see at night and in a rucksack or purse - Cable appears to be USB 3.0 so the data transfers are pretty fast if you need it for that use case. - The ends of the cables are tapered by the rubber to reduce strain from flexing so it appears to very durable. - Convenient velcro tie attached to the cable so it can be wrapped up and stay untangled. - The Cable is threaded/braded and it feels more premium and durable. - Appears to handle quick charging plugs too. Cons - length, I went for the 0.8m and I knew it was short so this is okay enough for myself but if you want something you can use while using the phone easier, then maybe consider something a little longer! Overall a really high quality cable, especially for the price point, would recommend!

Worked great for 10 months but now i have a bad connection and my lg g5 doesn't charge everytime i plug it. I got this cable hoping it would outlast the cheaper cables and it did but not for long because it's the contacts that get bad exactly like the other cables i had. I still got it to 3 stars because the build quality is great the cable and the body of the plugs are sturdy but like i said it has a bad connection after 10 month of use where i charge the phone everyday. So in conclusion is it a good cable? I would say yeah it's rugged and has quality materials but don't expect it to last many years of everyday use. Edit: After my review i got contacted and they sent me another one because the one i had was defective and the new one is just perfect! Awesome customer support! I would really recommend this product to anyone! Thanks Anker for the great support!

So far so good - does what it says it will do. The braided cable seems to be a nice, heavy duty one.
