I bought this remote because of advice from a YouTube video. After I bought a new Samsung TV, I watched videos on how to use it and its capabilities. The host recommended this remote control because it is easier to understand and larger than the original. He’s right! In my pictures, I put this remote between my Dish remote and the TVs original. This shows the relative size difference. I’ve only had the remote for about 30 hours and the TV for about 60 hours. I’ve already given up on the original “smart”, solar powered, too small for my hand, original Samsung remote. That’s only a microphone for me to use for the TVs voice control or search engine that I’ll probably never use. If you have, or if you’re looking to buy a less than 4 year old Samsung smart TV, I recommend you get this remote too. No programming needed, just insert two AAA batteries and it’s ready. Edit, 13 months later: I’m needing to replace this remote because my now 7 month old puppy has finally destroyed it. She has also destroyed the original remote, so I’ve ordered two more of these. It’d be a good idea, because of the low price, to get two of these and keep one in a safe place your dog won’t find. Especially if you have a puppy. This remote did work fine until she got her teeth into the buttons. She had already scratched it, but it was still working. I just received the new remotes and they both work perfectly for me. I put one back into the bubble wrap and I’m going to hide it from her. It’s just an insurance thing so I’m never without a remote for this tv again. If or when she destroys the one I use, I’ll use the other and buy another insurance policy one. I use about seven different remotes for my different devices. Some are too outdated to replace with new ones. Those remotes stay hidden. I don’t like the idea of one remote control for everything or more than one device. I like to use each device’s original remote. That’s until I bought my Samsung tv last year. I couldn’t stand the original solar powered remote it came with. I only used it when I had to. I might be old fashioned but I don’t like voice control for searching. I don’t miss that at all. Buy this remote control for your 2019-2024 Samsung tv. It’s practically identical to the ones offered before the solar powered one came along. Great price for a good remote. I only wish it was built with stronger materials and was more puppy proof. Edit 2: Just 2 days after getting the new ones, she chewed buttons out of the one I was using. I can’t find it and now I’m going to have to use the insurance one and buy more insurance. It’s not the remote’s fault that my new puppy likes the taste of this thing and has new sharp teeth. I bought two of them again today so I don’t lose advantage of the current 34% discounted price. I’m more worried about my dog chewing on the batteries than having to buy another replacement. The first time I bought this, I had a dog that was 13 years old with no teeth. It never occurred to me that my next dog would be destroying my tv remote control. This is even more evidence of the necessity to get more than one of these remotes if you have a new dog or a puppy that doesn’t know any better. I’m just praying that she didn’t get into the batteries of the one I can’t find.

When our original Samsung remote control failed, we purchased this identical twin pack of remote controls for our TV. Like the original remote control, they did not last long. Too many functions per key. TV quickly refused to operate properly even with new batteries. We took a chance and purchased a BN59-01199F Samsung remote control based on customer reviews. Wow! What a difference! Our new remote control is superior to the original in every way. Works perfectly right out of the package with no programming. Each key has a single purpose. The new remote control even operates our aging DVD Player. We purchased a second BN59-01199F the next day.

This is a very reasonably priced replacement remote, considering what we paid for the tv only 2 years ago. I would think we would’ve gotten a bit more use as two old people who take care of our things. Anyway, back to this remote. Works like a charm Anna connects easily. My only complaint is that we struggled to remove the back to insert the batteries. It’s very smooth and no place that your thumb can grip to slide it off.

Works right after putting batteries in, but it's an EXTREMELY poor build quality and feels very cheap. The batteries barely stay in and you can hear them rattling around whenever you use the remote. About 20% of the time you need to hit a button twice. But not a bad price if you want some extra remotes for peace of mind.

Order arrived on time. Product is essentially plug and play. Works pretty much like the original Samsung remote that the mute key stopped working after several years. 2026 02 20 Correction So, originally, I wrote the "below" because the batteries were loose. Turns out that the "installation instructions" were included with the "2nd" remote, so I didn't see that you were supposed to use "AA" batteries rather than the "AAA" batteries that I started with. If they'd include the instructions with both remotes or label the battery bays with "Use AA batteries", that'd help dummies like me. ---- End of 2026 02 20 Correction so, ignore the following, unless you have the same problem and you want to be a dummy like me, sorry ! - - - - . . . . but <clipped mistake created by not reading the instructions> We'll see how they stand up to use over time. It doesn't appear to have the voice control (although there is a hole similar to that in the "voice enabled" controls). But, then again they were $6 each . . .

I purchased this TV remote from Amazon for Rs. 2,000 on 3rd August 2023, and now I am extremely disappointed. The battery compartment is corroded and damaged, rendering the remote completely unusable even though it's only not even a year old. It’s clear that no proper quality check was done. I’ve attached a photo to show the extent of the damage. This experience has been very frustrating, and I am now seeking a refund or replacement. I would not recommend this product based on my experience

It’s smaller and neater than the one it replaces. It works all I need it to work. The buttons are clearly marked. It was reasonably priced. Much cheaper than an exact replacement. I’m happy with my purchase.

Die Fernbedienung sieht fast identisch zu dem Original aus, die Kanten sind bisschen eckiger, die Tasten ein wenig wabbeliger, aber die Funktionen sind dadurch nicht beeinträchtigt. Die Fernbedienung war sofort einsatzbereit und funktioniert super. Sehr sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
