Impressive hub
This is nice and lightweight (pictured it next to a battery to give a size comparison) and it will 100% grow with you over time . It is capable of 8k video output . Now I can’t test this as I don’t have an 8k monitor but over time I am sure we will do this is great future proofing. I have used it with an M1 MacBook Air and it has performed flawlessly with an external monitor and I love the fact you have a dedicated PD port in and an additional thunderbolt c port which means you can power and use a thunderbolt device at the same time eg SSD plus having the 8k HDMI port. Is it expensive ? Yep at time f review well north of £100 but it’s made by Satechi and I have used this brand a lot in the past and never been let down so I have no reason to believe anything that this will be a solid performer for some time . Overall this is a pricey but excellent product .

Good overall performance, if a little pricy.
This is the first time I have had a product from Satechi and this is a 6-in-1 USB-4 hub and it makes a pleasant change from the silver rectangular shaped ones I usually come across. Build quality looks to be ok and its like and compact enough for travel use. Port wise, you get an Ethernet port, Audio port, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x1 10Gbps, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x1 10Gbps/100W PD, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2x1 10Gbps and 8K@60Hz HDMI. To give this a run for its money, I connected it up to a modern Window 11 laptop, via the Thunderbolt 4 port and plugged in a 6600MB/s NVMe drive in a 40Gbps enclosure, a 2200MB/s NVMe drive in a 10Gbps enclosure, 4K@60Hz external monitor, 100W GaN II fast charger and Ethernet cable. In reverse order. Internet speeds were around 950Mbps download and 52Mbps up. The max charging rate I got it up to be was 97W, so on spec. Data transfer rates weren’t bad and the 10Gbps figure is what is often said to be the theoretical figure, as so many things can affect it. At 10Gbps, the max speed the drives could reach is 1250Mb/s. The faster of the two drives was arrived 800MB/s read & 650MB/s write. The other drive was around 550MB/s and 650MB/s. With more prolonged tests, I would expect both drives to have a similar performance from this hub, as it is some way of delivery the max 1250MB/s figure. Real time speeds when moving multiple MP4 files simultaneously was around 400MB/s. Plugging the fastest drive directly into my laptops Thunderbolt 4 port, I can get just under 3000MB/s. Not having an 8K display, I’m not able to comment on that. However, performance through the 4K monitor @60Hz was perfectly fine. I did also run it at 2K@144Hz on a 32” desktop monitor. Again, with no issues. This does tick a lot of boxes and did perform well overall. I would have hoped for slightly faster data transfer speeds. The only thing I will say is that you can get this performance and spec for under £100 from other brands. I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading

likeable features
This hub comes with features which many others don't have. Some are small points, but they make a difference. Manual: Nice to see a large enough readable and useful manual. Marking: Laser engraved, printed and a bar code label, CE and UK CA, that's nearly how it should be. Connections: It has the most interesting connections for a phone or laptop, not many, but the right ones for on the move. Charging possible PD. Speed: In the upper ranges, "affordable" computers will not be slowed down by 10Gbps or any other port. (tbh, top end computers may be slowed down latest when connected to the internet. Here is no really high speed internet available (at home) which can cope with the huge data flow which can be produced by modern computers and top end phones). Ethernet could, but that ends also at the router. The 8K HDMI (not on Apple devices) goes to 60 Hz. There are not many monitors capable of that, and these monitors are not for gaming. gaming is better on 4k with much higher Hz rates. Likely this hib has then some reserve ... Housing: That has a nice feature in form of 4 rubber feet. When packing a metal only hub into the same cover for a laptop there is a bad sounding scratching noise, if the laptop has metal surface. Put this one with the rubberfeet towrds the surface, no sound and less sliding around. Plus the larger faces are plastic, no damage to anything anyhow. I like that. It is a bit more expensive designed, with openings at the bottom (cooling? Cant really see that, so mabe just design?), and the shaped faces. It is light and makes all a good impression. Technical test: It is far beyond the capabilities of my devices, so no way to reach it's limits by me. Packing: Eeven this is designed or better said engineered, with a clever inner system for the cable, and outside a retractable hook for shelf hanger, and sticky closer on two sides. They took pride in some proper designs and hence it can't be cheap, which it isn't, but hey, a good life is always a bit more expensive.

Very Good Quality
This SATECHI USB4 6-in-1 Multiport Adapter is amazing. The price is a little high but it i definitely quality. It does so much more than any other hub I’ve seen. It’s very stylish and even though it’s a little pricey, I think it’s fabulous. The hub is well made and looks great. It has USB-C PD Charging, 8K HDMI, USB-A & USB-C Data Port, 3.5mm Audio Jack and an Ethernet Port. It is also compatible with M2 & M1 MacBook, 2021 iPad Pro, Mac Mini M1, iMac M1. The transfer speeds are awesome and there is no lag or loss of data. I am so impressed with everything this little hub can do. It even offers things that I don’t have yet, like 8k. It’s good to know when I do get 8k that this will work with it too! I’m also impressed with the consistent performance from the hub. It’s a great addition to my laptop bag when going on work visits. It does everything I need it to and more. It is expensive but I think it’s worth the money. It’s a fabulous little hub with great speeds and great capabilities

Excellent quality, good design, works really well, good performance from this hub
The SATECHI USB4 6-in-1 Multiport Adapter works well with my MacBook Air. It is well made and high quality accessory to use with the Apple Mac. It is worth reading the guide that accompanies the hub for insight about ports and expected transfer speeds. I plugged the adapter type USB-C in to the Mac and the power charging chord into the PD slot (slot 5 as identified in the instructions functions). This will charge the Mac whilst the hub is plugged into the Mac. Connected a additional display with the HDMI port and extended the displays, easy set up. I plugged in a USB external hard drives and a type UCB C external hard drive, transfer read speeds were high and good. As I use this adapter hub I found this to be very useful and this performance and reliability is excellent in how this facilitated when using the Apple MacBook Air. Well pleased with this highly useful adapter in what this does, good quality design an excellent addition for my MacBook.

Stylish Adapter, next-generation technology that comes at a cost
I like the functionality of the SATECHI USB4 6-in-1 Multiport Adapter, which provides me with all the essential ports I needed in one compact device. The adapter's sleek design complemented my MacBook Pro perfectly and a convenient addition to my setup. I do see a noticeable improvement in data transfer speeds and overall performance. Furthermore, charging from the USB-C PD port is quick and convenient for on-the-go charging. However, I must admit that the £139.99 price tag seems high for the number of ports. I've used other multiport adapters with more ports and lower prices in the past, but the fact that the adapter includes next-generation USB4/Thunderbolt 4 technology drives up the price significantly. While the SATECHI adapter has a sleek design and excellent functionality, the cost of this next-generation technology should be considered. Overall, this 6-in-1 Multiport Adapter is a reliable and efficient device that complements my MacBook Pro nicely. Its cutting-edge technology and fast charging speed make it a useful addition to my setup, but the high price tag is a detriment.

When only 8k will do
A USB hub is a USB hub, no? No. This one has a couple if tricks up its sleeve. ** 8k 60Hz HDMI is the headline feature. That's why this costs 5 or more times than similar items. Note it doesn't support 8k 60Hz on Mac. PC only. If you don't need 8k 60 or own a mac, save your money and look elsewhere for a cheaper option. ** 100w power pass-through & 10gbps data transfer via USB-C. Also a 2nd 10gbps USC-C port with no power pass-through ** USB-A 10Gbps data port ** audio jack (3.5mm) ** 2.5ghz ethernet port Its a high spec across all the ports (except the ethernet) and if you need 8k 60 HDMI, you won't be disappointed but Iike I said, if you don't need that or have a Mac, there are cheaper, lower spec options that will save you some serious money

Indispensable but pricey
Dont think the quality meets the price tag. Otherwise the functionality is good and pretty versatile. Very light and very indispensable for pro users.
