Great product
A great product which I used to replace/repair old sealant on the external panels of my Chausson Welcome Mini Motorhome. I removed old sealant and after watching various YouTube videos I applied new SikaFlex 512 adhesive and sealant, I then sprayed area with a mix of water and a small amount of household detergent which allowed me too smooth out the bead of sealant I had applied with my finger. I kept applying spray allowing me time to keep working the area till I was happy I had a professional finish. Very happy with the finish and the adhesive and sealant qualities of the Sikaflex 512. I fully recommend this product and doing your research on Youtube before starting task, I am a amateur DIY er and found product easy to use

Really bonds
I'm using this adhesive to help bond and fill the gaps between some wooden battens and the metal structure of a VW Transporter. It's recommended on lots of Van/Motorhome sites and I can concur it really does the job very well. It takes a fair degree of pressure on the mastic gun to extrude the adhesive, but with a bore of 5mm+ it's not too bad. The resultant bond is very strong, but because the adhesive remains flexible, heat induced expansion in the metal does not damage the seal. Not cheap but very effective.

Only stuff for cavarans, campers and boats
This product is a gap filling adhesive, it has strong adhesive qualities and can also be finished to a high standard. Useful for sticking stuff to most materials, permanently, other than cutting them off again with a blade! Also great for surface repairs and making good exisitng joints externally wthout the need for breaking the joint first, seem repairs, edging etc. This stuff is pricey but bear in mind that most people only want to do the job once and then it works out as value for money. Stiff to use out of the tude, warm them first and they are much easier. They are easy to control and form a decent bead. Smooth with a cloth and white spirit to prevent dragging. Plenty of flex for camper or boat repairs. Does not discolour or weather. 'Dries' to a flexible but firm finish that is every bit as professional as the original makers who use this stuff all the time. Can be compared to the cheaper EBT which will do the same job but will not give as good a finish where the finish is important. We used EBT for bedding in a rooflight and then finished around the edges using 512 - top job and confident that it will last as long as the camper does.

I bought this product to reseal the roof lights on my micro mobile home. After a lot of research into the method and best products to use this was the one that came out on top. Yes it does cost a bit for a tube of this product but I am trying to protect my investment. I used it in conjunction with the W4 sealing strip. The "spitty finger" technique was used to smooth down the surfaces. There are spec sheets that you can read on line which gives you ingredient information and working temperatures/curing times. Time will only tell if this product lives up to its reputation, so far I'm pleased. If I can use it so can you as I'm a 67 year old senior citizen. Oh yes, I am also female.

it's not like silicone it sticks to everything & doesn't come off
Resealed my caravan well. Need to be careful when using, it's not like silicone it sticks to everything & doesn't come off. I stuck it in the oven for 10 mins before using as I don't have a bionic hand. Resealed my bathroom with it too (with the aid of masking tape) worked a treat, It hasn't peeled off or gone mouldy yet like even the best silicone.

very impressed
I have a vintage caravan that has suffered a bit of damp after this awfully wet winter. I read many reviews, looked on caravan forums etc and this product appeared to be the best bet to fix it. I warmed the sealant before beginning which made it easier to apply. I also used the fingers from a rubber glove to cover my index finger which i used to smooth the sealant. Being a total novice i am surprised how good it looks. Warm soapy water removed any excess if tackled immediately but i needed white spirit to remove some that i had not noticed until later. I cant comment on how weatherproof it is or if it has cured my damp issue as i have only just applied it today. I really hope it does the job as i believe its really hard to remove!

Good stuff!
New vent fitted - just hope I don't own the vehicle when it next needs replacing as this stuff sticks like the proverbial to the blanket! Also used it along the top of the windscreen sill reinforcing the current sealant where the fibre glass top of my Toyota Hiace motorhome fits the roof. It is harder to work with than household sealants but as advised by others on here, I put the tube in warm water for a while to help its flow.
