Cook And Freeze Rectangular Dish With Lid 0.8L

I ordered two and both arrived in perfect condition, well packed and protected. These dishes are perfect for creating those one or two portion meals that you can prepare and pop in the fridge or freezer. They have a very secure soft plastic lid to ensure there's no spillage. Great for salads and casseroles and my favourite corned-beef hash. They would also be great for storing dry goods or special salts. And as they are genuine Pyrex with the glass embossed logo, they are able to withstand high oven temperatures. But they do have real weight to them so if you need a lightweight container, perhaps these are not for you. The lids are quite tight but my 88 years old mum was able to remove it easily. And as they are glass, they are very easy to clean and dry to a glossy shine. Just £7 a pop (at the time of writing). Great value.

I bought 5 of these (this is the maximum Amazon allow for one customer under the add-on rule ).I see that the day after I bought mine they became £1 dearer which is a shame. I bought them to make meals in individual dishes to bake, freeze, and microwave without having to remove the food. I gave away my plastic freezer lock in containers because you have to wait till the contents defrost and then try to transfer the food to a microwaveable or oven dish of similar size without making a mess of your food presentations. I disagree with all the buyers who said that the glass is too thin. Pyrex glass comes in many thicknesses. The thinness of the glass gives these bowls a tableware look. After all, who wants to take ugly chunky Pyrex to the table? I have had these bowls before and found them a fantastic buy. I did drop one several years ago but then I don't often seem to break anything. Mine arrived just as I had finished making my Cottage pie recipe. As I finished them with a fancy piping of potato, I thought how much nicer the presentation is for guests. This is so much better to make your own than buy those expensive dreadful meals from the supermarkets that you microwave in cardboard or plastic and you know what is in your own recipes too. These dishes are simply fantastic and when not residing in the freezer they are making lovely use for microwave porridge, jelly setting, pudding bowls and holding food in the fridge bowls where the lids are so useful to keep in the odour and for stacking. The lids do not profess to being leak proof nor do the lids stand up to the microwave or oven. They are just meant as a fitted cover for fridge and freezer use.You need lots of these so please Amazon, please put the price back and let me buy some more?

I have four of these lovely pyrex dishes now and find them so useful. Every week I buy 500g of mince and do a shepherds pie mix in my Crockpot slow cooker, leaving it to cook for about 3 hours on high. When cooked I divide the mixture into three, using two of these dishes, and a separate bowl. I do enough mashed potato (sometimes with cheese) to cover the two in these dishes, and with the last third of the mix I add some passata and gently fried chopped up courgettes to make a lasagne. Three easy meals sorted in one day. Love it! I usually put one of the shepherds pies into the freezer for later in the week. The dishes aren't huge, but we find them big enough for the two of us.

Really like these glass dishes, great for storing and then reheating leftovers. Only negative is that the plastic lid stains, and I do have older ones that have also split. So quality is a little poor on the lid. Good thick glass and freezes well.

Arrived intact with bubble cushion envelope. Made in France. All good.

Just a handy size

Value for money,storage is minimal because of the shape(shallow but holds a lot)easy to stack,great for multi use,however please note that the tight seal lid is not suitable to use in any hot cooker(microwave,air fryer or oven) Delivered on time,well packed with lots of bubble wrap.

Fits perfectly into my (not biggest size) 2 drawer Ninja air fryer. Exactly what I was looking for and has a lid so food can be stored.

Ein Schnäppchen ist es nicht, Pyrex halt, aber das weiß man ja vorher. Die Funktion ist gegeben und es ist eben unten Glas statt Plastik. Darf angeblich auch in den Backofen und in die Mikro. Muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden, ob es nicht die vom schwedischen Möbelhaus zum halben Preis auch tun würden.

Ordered three and could use just one. Seems to be a useful glass dish with, at first use a very tight fitting lid. The dish is shallower than I expected by at least a third so that is something to bear in mind when purchasing. Time will tell whether or not the lid retains its sealing properties after it's washed and put on and taken off multiple times. I would suggest that any prospective purchaser try to find the dish in a bricks and mortar shop to check size and usefulness and while there if you want to receive more than glass fragments in a paper envelope do a price comparison and choose your retailer carefully.
