Kymera Magic Wand Remote Control

I have recently purchased a Kymera Magic Wand Remote Control and after 15 minutes I had used up all 13 actions and this was only for my Sky Box and TV. Just wish there were more than 13 actions so that I could do my home cinema and home air conditioning. Thinking about it, I don't believe you could have many more than 13 actions unless they combined actions I.E tap followed by clockwise movement or double tap followed by clockwise movement etc... These combo actions would have to be done simultaneously within 1 second of each other. Anyway just a thought of how they could perhaps improve the product. With all that said, I am very happy with my purchase and no longer require the TV and Sky Box remote I just need my "Magic Wand" with me when watching TV. I would certainly recommend this item if you have two or maybe three devices you would like to program. My only advice would be that prior to purchasing this item identify how many buttons you would like to program (count them carefully and think of the ones you press the most) and if its more than 13 then perhaps wait till they maybe bring out the Kymera 2. So much fun to use. The gestures can be a bit difficult to get a hang of but definitely possible. The instructions are easy to figure out and you just need to be patient with counting the pulses to be sure which gesture you're programming. It works like a dream when you can do exactly what you want to do but some gestures can get accidentally performed, making you do something you didn't want to do. Also it can be difficult to remember the less commonly used programmed gestures. Perhaps it might be worth writing down what you've programmed next to each gesture on the instructions if you struggle remembering all 13 gestures. I had a bit of an issue with my first wand where it would pulse continuously. I emailed the company and they responded promptly and sent me a replacement wand within a few days. All in all, I love my wand! Ps: "It's leviOsa not leviosA"

I'm a great fan of a certain teenage wizard and his adventures with you know who, so when I saw this, I just had to have it. It's great fun to use and really works! It took me a few tries to get it programmed correctly and I never managed to 'get the hang' of a couple of the movements... But my patience was well rewarded. I can now sit on my sofa and, with a flick of my wrist, control my television, satellite box and stereo because this wand can learn from multiple remotes. Only complaints- * A bit pricey for a whim... Hard to justify the price for something I need about as much as I need an extra hole in my head... Only generous Christmas gift cards made this happen. * Some of the movements are difficult to master or super sensitive. For example, I assigned volume control to the 'rolling wand' movement... If I'm not careful I end up turning the volume up or down as desired but find the wand reversing or exaggerating the effect when I move it to put it down

Brought this as a gift for my girlfriend who is a bit of a potter fan. Comes in a nice presentation box with parchment style instructions. The wand itself is plastic/resin. I can't help feeling that a nice touch would have been to make the jewel in the battery end light up but never mind. As for the magic: It is not plug and play straight from the box and does take a little learning to programme and use but overall this just adds to the enjoyment. Now if I can just get it to work on my girlfriend in the bedroom ^^ ..........................

My boyfriend is a huge Harry Potter fanatic, so what better than to surprise him with his own fully functional wand? The overall packaging of the product is excellent, faultless. It comes in a very authentic wand box with a gorgeous lining. Very suave! .. Also comes with very rustic map like instructions - also very cool! The wand itself looks fab as well, it's made of plastic wood effect but looks and feels extremely real, also faultless. But when it comes to using the product, it's a different story. Programming the wand is very easy, you have 13 actions that you can customise with commands. We found that was plenty for our TV and DVD player, but if you want to be controlling the TV, Sky Box, DVD Player, Stereo etc with it then 13 may not be enough for you. As far as I'm aware, anything with a remote can be programmed. Controlling the wand is a bit of a nightmare, VERY hit and miss. For example; we programmed the TV to turn off when we gave a big swish forward, which doesn't ever happen first time, you're repeatedly swishing at the TV and nothing happens for a while, yet if you put the wand on your lap .. the TV turns off!! Then you've got to turn the damn thing on again, which is the same story reversed. Volume, channel changing etc is easy with practice, as are all the other commands, but after a few days the remote control was just so much easier to use. Definitely a great gift for any wizardry, Harry Potter fan if you want to fork out for a piece of the action but make sure this person packs a hell of a lot of patience. I'm sure with lots of practice it will be easier and more enjoyable to use.

Great idea but erratic in operation and gave up the ghost within a year. Shame

This was the best purchase I have made on amazon. The wand worked like a charm! I thought it would have been more complicated to set up or use, but this wand works beyond my expectations and is really fun to use. The directions are simple to understand and the wand is easy to set up! I am ordering another one for my nephew today because this wand/remote just works, and since my nephew is a Harry Potter fan, he will love it! One side note when setting up or programming the remote, make sure you once press the button on the remote your learning from "once". I realized quickly that I had taught my wand to use the TV power button twice because I "held down the power button" when I was training the wand. You do not need to hold down the button on the remote you are training from, just point at wand and hit button once, and you should not have any problems. This wand is super fun to use and works beyond my expectations, it just works! Great for everyday use, and if u think it will be hard to set up or that it will get old after a while, you are wrong! This becomes an extension to your hand and makes watching TV super fun and easy. The device just knows what you want it to do, I even tried fooling it by mixing commands and I still couldn't confuse it! Great device and props to the developers of this device!

This was a gift but the receiver of this gift thought it was wonderful. She tried it and said it worked very well. It comes in a very nice box and the instructions are on paper that looks old, all very nice. My granddaughter loves it. She loves anything Harry Potter. She didn't seem to have a hard time understanding instructions.

Hay que tener un poco de paciencia al configurarla y algo de práctica al principio pero ya después de unos días los gestos se vuelven muy sencillos. Controla perfectamente los dispositivos que he configurado. Es muy divertido. Además la varita está muy bonita. No se ve burda, parece una varita de colección. Estoy muy contento con ella.
