much cheaper plastic than original throat plate. Instructions tell you to lower riving knife before raising saw blade to make initial cut. Instruction should read, "remove riving knife". Riving knife is taller than the saw blade and pushes up on the throat plate preventing blade from cutting through and will likely result in breakage of throat palate and possible injury to user due to plastic kick back

It ensures 0 clearance, but the material is very flimsy. It bends often

This was a great addition to my table saw, having the zero clearance with less tear out than it's stock insert. It does come with screws/machine that you will have to drill into your table saw to ensure that the zero clearance plate will remain in it's place. It was a little nerv racking at first but now it pretty much just lives on my table saw.

I bought this for use with my Skil 10" table saw. I have been using it for a while now and it's OK. Would have been better if it was made of metal rather than plastic. Recommended for DIY users.

A very strong plastic. Improves the quality of your cutting.
