This household gets through a lot of loo roll, so it's worth buying in bulk. I've bought this brand before, and it's decent loo roll. It's 3-ply and quilted, which gives it the structure and softness of the luxury brands such as Andrex or Cushelle, but at a lower cost. This order of 60 came as five packs, each pack containing 12 rolls. The roll size of this Cusheen is very similar to the Andrex or Cushelle – all rolls are 10.5cm across (around 4”). All rolls measure 3cm from inner cardboard core edge to outside edge of tissue. The sheet size on all rolls is the same, this one is wound on slightly less tightly but it's not sloppily done and all the perforations align for a neat tear. The main differences are in length and weight of the rolls - this quilted 3ply roll weighs 85g. The luxury rolls weigh approximately 15-20% more. 20 sheets of this quilted 3ply weighs 11g, so that works out about 154 sheets per roll. 20 sheets of the more expensive luxury brands weigh 12g, so that works out at about 180-200 sheets per roll. This quilted Cusheen at current prices costs 28p per roll, which puts it in the budget loo roll range, but this isn't budget loo roll, it's soft and substantial, doesn't fall apart, it's good quality loo roll. These rolls are quilted, white and have a subtle, natural lavender fragrance, not overpowering or synthetic. The fragrance does fade once the rolls are on the holder, but not enough to lose a star. My OH has just been in. "You been buying more loo roll?" "Yup," says I. "It's Lavender flavoured. Have a smell." "Oh," he said, grinning. "Well....... my bottom will soon change the scent."

Very good value for money

I compared these to nicky, at first glance they look very similar but at a close glance they were lacking the cardboard roll is larger but is probably 4mm shorter and the tissue is wrapped a little looser. The actual tissue is good nice, thick and soft. On the whole I think they're a good buy, they're a better buy than the supermarkets own brands in my opinion, I would buy again

I love the fragrance and the texture

The skyrocketing cost of living letd me to opt for a bulk purchase of toilet paper. I can no longer justify splashing out on the posh brand with imprinted puppies. This does the job and definitely wins in the value for money category compared to top brands. However the size of the rolls appear to be somewhat smaller and therefore do not last as long. The rolls are slightly scented however in my opinion the scent does not compare to that of the posh "puppy" brand. Overall I would say that posh "puppy" brand still wins in terms of size, scent, softness and aborbency, however in these times value for money is the deal breaker for me. Note that my purchase was at a discounted price. I'm not sure I would have purchased at the orginal price.
