Buy Maps Activity Book 1 by Mizielinski, Aleksandra and Daniel (ISBN: 8601404201707) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Does not disappoint!!! - I'm hugely impressed with this activity book on all things maps. My eight year old son is obsessed with maps of any kind and this is just the right kind of book for him. I homeschool and it covers such a vast variety of subjects from history, art and technology and maths to exercising your creative muscles with fantasy maps, treasure maps, mazes, crosswords etc. so it's educational (without the child fully realising it) as well as giving brain breaks in between. The book has 80 pages including answer pages at the back. Examples of the subheadings to give you an idea are: Finding Your Way High Hills Dragon Quest Infomaps Trade Routes Draw Your Own Map Behind Enemy Lines Secret Streets Ancient Maps Art Heist Maps of the Deep Starry Maps It covers all the continents to an extent throughout the book as well. Really pleased, and my son is eager to work through the activities. Review: Interesting - Bought this as a present to go along with the Map Book. It was a winner with my 6 year old nephew. Lots of activities, a great rainy day book. Lots of good general knowledge information and could possibly help with school projects.

Great activity book
This is a great addition to the Maps book by the same author. My 6 year old has really engaged with the puzzles and quizzes, searching her maps book for clues and answers. I really like the way it doesn't make the challenges too easy - the child has to think about what is being asked and how to find the answer.

complementing "Maps" nicely
The Maps + activity book create nice coherent piece. Should be sold in bundle. The English version has smaller format than the polish one, but that's the only critique I might find (A4 instead of A3 is merely a crime). The activities presented are more for 6+ as they require more involvement than just pure colouring book. As intended - it prompts your child to create all the adventurous stories and these nice creative outbursts we all parents love.

Perfect for teaching my class!
I have bought this for my school class (lower key stage 2) as small filler activities which they can use iPads to help them research some of the activities. It is an absolutely perfect way to encourage children to think about the world and different cultures. It hits the intercultural understanding aspect of teaching languages perfectly. I simply adore this book and the main Maps book to go with it (which I received as a present for Christmas). Beautifully illustrated and presented throughout!

A super book with good activities
My 9 year old really likes this book. It is teaching her geography skills and has fun activities. She actively looks at and completes this book herself and with family members. Well worth purchasing.

My kids are having great fun with this book as well as learning a lot. I think it would NOT work nearly so well without the Maps book though, so definitely get that one also/first. You could use the activity book without Maps, but then some of the pages would turn into research projects (ex. draw sports or musical instruments played in a list of countries) which would take away some of the fun. Maps is full of cute drawings of musical instruments, games, sports, animals, food, landmarks, etc so it's easy to look those up in one place to use this book.

I'm really impressed with this activity book. It covers a fantastic range of map contexts (pirates, internet cabling, the Silk Road, the Secret Service, sonar, cosmology, the Tube, John Snow's water pumps!), teaches history as well as geography, and has an up-to-date and inclusive view of world cultures. The colours and graphic design are appealing. I'd say it's for bright, geography-minded kids age 8+.
