A good classic buy

The bad tempered ladybird is a must have for every child! I love this book so much, I had a copy when I was small and would read it all the time. Now I have brought it for my son and read it to him very often because I simply love the story so much. The illustrations are perfect and the book is super easy to easy to read. I highly recommend this book.

what a great story!! About such small animal and the big impact and importance on our lives eating the aphids that damage trees. Also go through different stages and timing of the day, big and small; the moral of “always will be someone bigger or clever that you”.

Another good book by Eric Carle helps with learning tines

I love this story. We can all learn something from it and it gets us thinking about time.

I remember this book from my childhood, so had no hesitation in buying it to read to my daughter. I got a bit of a shock when it arrived - I didn't remember the ladybird being quite so aggressive! However, I changed the word "bad-tempered" to "grumpy" (a word my daughter is familiar with) and it works great. She loves "reading" along with me, and now we can even make comparisons with the book: if she doesn't got to sleep, she will be grumpy in the morning. And if she's grumpy, she will make me grumpy. Because that's how it works. Grumpiness spreads. All the other animals were quite happy doing whatever they were doing until the grumpy ladybird came along and made them grumpy too.

In the US version this is a story about a Grouchy Lady Bug , but the unique format and beautiful illustrations still deliver the same page turning interest and even a fun lesson about how a grouchy or bad-tempered day can be put into perspective and end with a smile.

Buen material y bonito para niños

My son loves this book. It is big. It is good to teach about bad temper, and to read clock. And it talks about different bugs and animals as well. It has a clock for almost each page. It is a big book (paperback) the pages are sicker that a regular book, which is good for my 3 year old boy. It has shinny finish of the pages.

Ma fille a 16 mois donc elle ne suit pas vraiment l'histoire, mais elle aime bien tourner toutes les pages et sur chacune on dit le nom de l'animal, ou on fait son bruit, ou elle cherche un autre jouet représentant le même animal... Sur chaque page elle s'amuse à trouver la coccinelle, qui est de plus en plus petite tandis que les animaux sont de plus en plus grands. Pour un enfant plus grand, il y a aussi le cycle du soleil qui se lève et se couche, les heures avec la représentation de l'horloge... et biensûr aussi l'histoire de la coccinelle pas gentille qui à la fin comprend qu'elle avait tout à gagner en étant gentille. Les illustrations sont superbes comme à chaque fois avec cet auteur.

Just like other books from Eric Carle, this book delivers an important message to toddlers and young children about the importance of controlling our temper and to choose our fights. A bad tempered lady bird who does not want to share its food with another friendly lady bird keeps going to bigger and bigger animals and instigating a fight. What happens when it reaches the biggest animal on the earth? And in the end does it really get to eat all the food? A very creative way of illustrating the story with a morale. Children can learn about animals, get a sense of small and big, and appreciate the importance controlling our actions when we are angry. High quality printing, beautiful illustrations and paperback takes almost no space. Overall, I would highly recommend adding this book to your toddler's library.
