Excellent book on Raw Food Nutrition written by a professional with long experience of raw nutrition
Excellent book on Raw Food Nutrition written by long term raw foodists with considerable scientific as well as practical knowledge. A good complement to Swayze Foster's 'The Science of Eating Raw', David Klein's two excellent books 'Digestion Perfection' and 'Self Healing Colitis and Crohn's' and Douglas Graham's 'The 80 10 10 diet', also the original 'Fit For Life' by Harry and Marilyn Diamond. Well, I probably shouldn't have started listing books as there are so many of them, all the books by the Boutenkos, Elizabeth Baker, etc etc .... But anyway, this is an excellent book and could even be the one to buy if you don't have any of the others (though I love all the others too). Raw Food Nutrition, The Science of Eating Raw and 80 10 10 cover the scientific aspects, David Klein's especially cover the healing aspects for those with digestive issues and also food combining, Fit For Life, 80 10 10, the Boutenko books, and Elizabeth Baker cover especially the practicalities and benefits of moving to a raw food diet.

Great Book
I enjoyed the book and it had a lot of great comparisons to help us have more awareness on what we eat. A lot of the micronutrient discussions were based on RDA that unfortunately is low and based on avoiding I'll ess... I would love to see a continuation of this book looking into optimal levels for health which are above RDA... Just a suggestion for a future book for the author.

Research based info
If you want to understand more about raw eating based on research and clinical experience, then this is a good book. Lots of data and scientific approach. Not a recipe book.

A simple and easy to read book with lots of tables comparing the nutrient content of different raw diet and meal types. The main questions about eating raw: protein, EFAs, B12 are answered based on the writer's personal and clinical experience. A good introduction to raw food nutrition.
