Positive points;- Delivery was on time. Packaging was good. The physical build quality of the plastic parts is good, the car is surprisingly strong when assembled. In general, the kit does what is says on the box. With care and attention, and a lot of searching around the internet, I finally go its wifi function to work.The bad points;- There is an error in the IDs printed on the motor driver board. The pins ENA and ENB are not identified. I got an email correcting that a few days after getting the kit.The kit uses an uncommon type of ESP8266 Wifi module - It's a type ESP-13, designed by the Doit company of China. It has a little known 2-pole DIP switch and you have to fully understand what to with that DIP switch in order to get the wifi functions to work.In general, it works and the car runs around (you have to also by 2 18650 batterys , that will together cost 10 - 20 Sterling).I got it working as a remotely controlled car - but would not recommend it to anyone who wants to try out standard wifi or Arduino DIY robotic experiments, which is what I wanted the kit for.

So far, really not impressed with this at all. It's rated for age 10 up, so got it for my son's 10th birthday. The instructions are very poor and in places, contradictory and simply confusing. So far with help my son is up to lesson 4. lesson 1 the car did as it should. Lesson 2 it didn't work at all. I have checked and double checked how my son put everything together, and it's spot on. Lesson 3 is supposed to be obstacle avoidance. It hits things tries to clamber over them and then after a few minutes turns around. Not sure I'd call that avoidance. I'm trying to find active help forums before my son gets completely fed up with it and gives up.

Clever way to learn about Arduino and the like.Fun and convenient.

everything is perfect and clear. it is a really good startup if you're using the tutorial on the cd.
