The pedal for the TRIO
Hello and welcome to my indepth review of the FS3X Footswitch . First of all How did I ever operate my TRIO pedal without it . If you have a Trio then get the footswitch it opens it up a whole lot more . It comes in it's own cardboard box which is well made and useful for carrying around from A to B . The Switch itself is in a strong metal box and comes with 4 rubber stick on feet and a stereo lead .Now if your like me and have feet the size of a small Sasquatch then you'll find the case is a bit small and you end up hitting two switches at a time .Annoying but here is a way round it It is only 3 switches and a socket inside there is no circuitry apart from a couple of resistors soldered on to the wires , at least I think they are resistors . I took my pedal apart and photographed it so if a wire comes off which it did then you know where to put it back .I built another case out of some old ply I had lying around You could use new ply which you'll get from the local hardware store , just thin stuff but make the base out of solid wood . Now using your woodworking skills make another case. I made one making sure I didn't have to cut any wires but if you do have to cut a wire or two its no big deal .You'll need a good sharp saw or a jig saw a soldering iron and some solder and some small thin screws a drill a masters degree in engineering Welding skills and patience . Once the box is made check it out and make sure its working before you screw it up and you now have a box for your oversize unruly foots .I am old and I have woodworking skills and I have patience and I have beer .If your not sure about it dont do it or get a friend to have a go then hit him when he gets it wrong . Remember when you take the pedal apart you void any warranty . See the photos

Nice, sturdy switch
I bought FS3X to use with my Jamman Solo XT. I've been using XT over a year (or maybe two) and although I love and use it a lot, I never really needed an extra switch for it. But a month ago I had an unlucky accident (my mistake) and my XT's arrow buttons (and part of display) stopped working properly. So I thought I would give it a try in order to continue using my XT fully. And lucky me it worked. It looks and feels good quality plus comes with a stereo 1/4 jack. I wasn't looking for it but it added more functionality to my XT; I can now easily play my verse-chorus-verse combinations etc. and can stop loops with a single click. Recommended.

Useful Addition to Trio Band Creator
Robust, simple footswitch to complement my new Trio pedal. My problem with the main pedal is that you need it on the floor to operate its own footswitch properly but you need the Trio to be located within hand’s reach to adjust the settings. The FS3X allows that to happen. It is especially necessary if you are intending to switch seamlessly between the two or three recordings the Trio will allow. There has been a recent firmware update for Trio to mainly calm down the previously busy bass line (check it out on YouTube - download from Digitech’s website using a USB cable to connect PC to Trio) and I also found details of an update for the FS3X that is implemented at the same time. If you hold down button 3 before plugging the switch into the Trio (release switch 3 once plugged in), it allows you to mute the drums, bass or both during your ‘performance’ by pressing down switch 1, 2 or 3 with your foot and holding it down. Once released, the backing accompaniment returns. £23 for the pedal box is not a lot of cash in the overall scheme of your investment so a definitely worthwhile addition to your toolbox. Cable to the Trio is included in the box. Affordable and a good solid switch.
Great item and much cheaper than the TC Switch 3, This works perfect with the Voicelive touch 2. Switches are silent also no clicking like other ones. Delighted with it and saved myself £20 buying this over the TC Switch 3. Is not as big as others say. Is just about right and switches are far enough apart. Good and strong like a brick not a plastic cheapo thing. Will last forever. Recommended!!

Digitech FS3X Review
I bought this pedal for use with the Brian May Digitech Red special pedal i also own. Its was becoming a pain to keep bending down to select a different tone from the actual pedal so thought this would suit me well. The pedal itself is small, smaller then i thought so unless you have tiny feet then only the tip of your foot will push the button in the middle, it comes with a basic jack to jack lead which is handy. It works well so far with no problems and seems well built. The only problem i have is my Brian may pedal had seven different sounds and as theres nothing to tell you which sound you on you have to remember where you began in order to know how many times to push the buttons to get the desired tone your after. A lot of people have said its easier and cheaper to make your own, well for £20 or so i dont agree. By the time you buy all of the materials and build it all surely its just making life complicated for yourself. All in all, only 4 stars from me because of the pre-mentioned problem of not knowing what sound your on but otherwise happy with pedal.

Care : Compatibility with other non DigiTech products
I used on-line information to buy this product. I wanted a three way control switch for my Mooer Drummer X2. Unfortunately the DigiTech is not entirely compatible for the Mooer Drummer X2 as the left hand 'UP' switch is made redundant. I wish I knew this before buying the item.

Excellent triple button pedal
I bought this to use with an old Digitech harmoniser. The pedal recommended in the manual is no longer made and they're selling for upwards of £70 on eBay. This works perfectly for a lot less money. The case is metal, and despite it being quite lightweight, I think it'll stand up to gigging well. Unreservedly recommended. Quick delivery from the seller too

It is what it is! A 3 button momentary foot switch. It works flawlessly with my JamMan Solo XT, which makes for an awesome performance-ready looper at a better price than the options from other companies. I think this footswitch is necessary to get the most out of the looper. It enables instant stopping and switching between loops on the fly. The footswitch itself is solid and sturdy metal. Four rubber feet come with it so you can attach them if you like or just apply velcro to put it on a pedalboard. The switch buttons are easy to use with or without shoes, which is nice.
