This book is amazing! I have to be honest I never knew much about Rodial as a brand and after reading this book it has inspired me so much. Maria takes you on a journey of building an award winning global empire all from the ups and downs Maria been there done it and wore those Prada suits. Most of all I love the tips and tricks along the way enabling you to think about what you really want your own business and brand to be. I would love to hope Maria will be bringing a second book out and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Rodial. This book really does show you that no matter what your background is, if you want something really want it, you will find a way of doing it! Congratulations Maria on an amazing book!

After four pages I was already hooked. This book is full of anecdotes and clever advice on how to become an entrepreneur in our days. It is not only a very good "How-to book", it is also like a motivator to get the courage and the energy to start your business. What I like the most is the honesty with which the author Maria Hatzistefanis advice the reader to proceed: have a plan, take risks, work hard, no need to have fancy offices, do not waste the money, ... I really recommend this book.

If you are looking to get into business, this book has some fantastic insight that can help you - and it's a great read too! The book really drives home how much time and effort starting and running a good business takes and the author here explains the good and the bad, the hard and the easy and really tries to pass on what she has learned to help future CEOs succeed. Not looking to start a business, don't worry - the book is a great read anyway. For those looking to just be 'insta-famous' - chapter 10 is a must!

Although I felt most parts of this book weren't particularly related to me, and my small business in the way that my business is completely different to beauty and the thought of ever receiving press or even coming in to contact with them terrifies me and it's also not my aim but I could still relate and it still motovated me to just crack on and ultimately believe in myself a little more and forced me to try new things and step outsode of my comfort zone. If you need a little kick up the backside and just a tad of a motivation from someone who has seemingly been where you are now then its definetley worth a read. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because at times I felt as though I was beig spld to in regards to app references etc - but i'd definetely recommend

A truly very inspiring book, which every girl can relate to. As we are in lock down due to COVID-19 it was a good time to sit down and reflect now that maternity it over, what's next for me, what I truly want to do next. I have a passion for beauty and skincare myself, not sure where to start, who can I to relate about my passion, my qualites my beliefs. I need to get some inspiration and motivation and then coincidentally Mrs Rodial instagaram screamed at me. Maria Hatzistefanis a normal young girl like you and me from a small town, not sure what job she truly wants, but has a dream and passion and chased it till it came reality. Like every normal girl, seeing models in magazine and beauty excited her. Mrs Rodial shares her real struggles, experiences, successes, failures and passion we can relate to about our everyday life. Not everything is glamour, hardwork, setbacks, rejections and patience are part of a successful journey. Believing in yourself, having passion, drive and resilience does pay off. If you love something it does not feel like a job, sacrifices like working past the 9-5 hours, working on weekends, no social life, sleepless nights are real experiences alot of young and successful women go through. Started small and got big and still going on to be big. I've read 4 chapters so far and as I've been reading "this is me" I say to myself. Can't wait to read more. I bought this book book I am at the verge of embarking on a similar journey and thought it would be nice to read the story of someone who has started a business without much knowledge of the industry. I will start with the negative: It is not extremely well written. I don't mind so much as I am not exactly a great writer myself. It seems slightly show off-y. She mentions a lot about the glamourous aspects of her work- flying around the world, rubbing shoulders with A-list celebs. When she mentions that she suffered through having the money to spend on prada then going 5 years with so little that she was buying clothes on the high street - I did roll my eyes. Also she has an MBA from Columbia university. You get a good understanding of how to manage a business from that- she didn't know beauty but she is a smart woman who probably from the sounds of it she knew how to theoretically build a business. So she didn't start out completely clueless. A final thing- I hated how it was layed out. The chapters start in a weird angle which I did find annoying. This is a personal preference. Positives: It gives you an overview of the hard work you need to put in, examples how thinking outside of the box can get you an in. The extent of networking required and how to be persistent. She has learnt a few tricks and is not afraid to share them. I have learnt a few things and it has made me feel more confident in my decision to pursue my own passions. In short: easy to read glamorous book with great tips.

One of the best books, I have ever read !! I have only one question after reading it. Where were the kids all the time? Maria doesn't mention them at all. She writes, she gets up at 6 a.m., then goes to gym and the to work. She is mom. I think, this is a huge challenge: to be a mom and to be an enterpreneur. So who brings the kids to the kindergarden or to school and makes a breakfast for the. As I am also a mom, this point is interesting for me: how to be a mom AND a successful enterpreneur at the same time.

Amazing book bought it for my friend and she loves it and I read it too love the lessons and pointers on starting a business and how to keep it and make it successful.
