Is it best to completely discharge the batteries before recharging

With the new batteries of today no you don't have to, should you well that's another matter. It's best to get the full use out of the battery before recharging it. When it's almost run down charge it don't leave them uncharged for a long time that is the worst thing you can do with any rechargeable battery. If you half charge a battery your charging it many more times than needed to get the full use. Charge it use it charge it. Almost every thing I use rechargeable batteries I have two sets one in use one charging. I also number my batteries in sets for what I use them in so two batteries in one hand set will be 4 batteries a1 a1 b2 b2 each battey is charged at the same time. One set used one charging. Had my batteries for years and always get the longest use out of them before having to charge them again. Having two sets also means no down time as you always have a new freshly charged set ready to use.

Can you use them for solar powered units

If you mean to place into Solar Garden Lights I do not see why not as I do use them on my own garden lighting..

To buyers in october/november - are they labelled made in japan? or china? what size battery did you get? how many in the pack? thanks in advance

Answering in March / April 2020 in case it matters. These are made in China with a date of Nov 2019. AAA 800mAh (16-Pack), came in four packs of four (shrink-wrapped).

Reliable & cost effective

Over the last few of years I have purchased many of these triple A batteries from amazon, they have never let me down and although rechargbles are more expensive in the first instance to buy, than the ordinary type. I should imagine I have saved a great deal of £s in the long. Its surprising just how many batteries we need in our daily lives, and all you have to do is recharge them. These ones from amazon are competivly priced but as good as any of the more expensive brands to my mind. I will continue to purchase these if I need more. incidently After about three years of first buying these from Amazon I have not yet had to discard any, and they still appear to handle being re-harged. Certainly do for me. Good Stuff!

Good value a

I have bought both AA and AAA versions more than once as many of my children’s toys require batteries. Rechargeable batteries are much more eco-friendly than disposable batteries. I also noticed that the 12-pack usually works out to be the best value per battery, so it’s worth checking the price per unit before buying. Reliable so far and I would buy again.
