Spanish for Beginners: 1 (Language for Beginners Book)

I bought this book as a present for my niece. The book is very well layout with good size letters which makes an easy reading for anyone. Each page is illustrated with pictures pictures, cartoons and graphics. The content is the correct one for children or for some who wants to star Spanish. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn Spanish to start with this book.

bought as a joke gift for a work colleague. She goes to Spain on holiday and mentioned that she would quite like to learn some basic Spanish. Another colleague cheekily said 'yeah like that'll happen!' So I bought this book, she loved it and is hoping to pick up some basic words.

I am over 60 but have appreciated other books in this children's series to use before venturing abroad! I like them so I can hear some basics and practise repeating the words: greetings, counting, going shopping, being in a café.... I am aware there are internet courses such as Duolingo, but the series has suited me. I can just pick out easily what I want to practise. However (I suppose with the move in technology) there was no CD with this latest book and listening relied on links to the Osborne website. Whether my laptop software isn't up to it, but I couldn't open the relevant link. I ended up returning the book and finding a second hand one with a CD and I listen on our kitchen CD player, while I do chores.

As a complete beginner to Spanish, this is an invaluable aid. I'm doing an 11 week evening course and this is an excellent bonus for working at home. Thoroughly recommend it! Muy bien!!!

Its so satisfying book for all beginners. The glossary part is indeed a epilogue! Above all ans for puzzles are given at the end. There are also Pronunciation guide which made things easier. For the ones who feel like learning a new lang on phone will distract u from other notifications. This book material is awesome. ME ENCANTA!

My six year old has really gotten into learning Spanish in the past few months. He loves the comic book style of dialogue and the simple puzzles that challenge his knowledge of the language. The vocabulary and usage tips in the boxes help to fill out what he can learn from the book. I would recommend this book to anyone. In fact, I might get one for myself for Italian!
