Does what it advertises but arrived in a box that was way to big for it !

This company took the time to send me a missing knob from this desk within a day of my email regarding the issue, and their customer service was outstanding. Bought this to sequence lights to midi for live performance. No pevious experince in DMX i found it easy to use and setting up lights then adding extra lights to a scene or editing the scene is fine. MIDI control is a bit dissapointing though. If you change scenes via the unit they switch seemlessly and lights remain on. Sequenced via midi all ligths drop out every note off command. I found you have to hold notes down while altering scenes until you want to re-trigger a scene when all lights go out for a brief moment. This unit would be brilliant if the lights just stayed on till the next note/scene was played (like they do if you press the scene select button). Spoke to Chauvet who asked me what sequencers/keyboards I was using, then never replied. This also means at the end of a song the stage goes dark. The other dissapointment is you can access all scenes via MIDI so you are limited there too. (88 notes/scenes including 6 chases). The unit can store many more than this. I like the unit but it could have been better. If you don't want 'auto' lights and you use a computer on stage, a software/hardware option would be better...

Simple to use and works great

I bought this to use with LED Colour Changers and dimmer controlled PAR lights. It is intended as a quick and easy controller for lights used for band concerts (I have a more sophisticated controller for theatre work). For those of you who dont use DMX much this is a controller that can control up to 12 'banks' of lights - I say banks as each bank can coltrol 32 channels of DMX, so you could control 32 dimmer channels on one bank if you wanted to. Indeed, I tend to put 8 - 12 PAR cans on a single bank and control them this way. One thing to know from the outset, you dont get independent control of each channel - let me explain. If you have 3 colour changers on bank 1, 2 and 3 and each uses 6 channels then fade 1 will control channel 1 of all three lanps if all three lamps are activated. You can work around this by starting each lamp off 6 channels apart. Not difficult to do, but worth noting. That said chases and scenes are so easy to record you really can get a gig up and running in minutes. I really like it! COuld I do a theatre production with this desk - yes, at a push, but for a music gig its really really good!

Cette table OBEY70 est un bon compromis entre les tables premier prix ( Séries 192) et les tables plus "pro et programmables". Les faders sont cheap et les touches se désolidarisent facilement. mieux vaut pas trop la chatouiller. Pour le prix , ( plus de 130€) ca fait cher les 384canneaux DMX. Le joystick pour les lyres et scan n'est pas précis. le seul vrai point positif , c'est l'écran LCD brillant et efficace.

E' un prodotto solido. Ben confezionato. Forse un pò scarno nei controlli. Mi riservo di aggiornare il giudizio dopo alcune prove in opera. Contenuto il prezzo. Può gestire, in programmazione, dodici apparecchiature DMX, ognuna delle quali può essere controllata tramite 30 canali slider, e due + due canali joystick. Non ci sono le istruzioni in italiano, e quelle in inglese sono davvero molto sintetiche. Al momento a questo prezzo non si trova molto. Ottobre 2018 Gran bella consolle per discoteca . Ho peso confidenza con i comandi, ed inizio a sfuruttàrli. Formidabile per le teste mobili. Poco o affatto adatta al teatro perché non si riesce a gestire la dissolvenza manuale e le scene sono solo on/off. Se si vuole comandare direttamente fumo e strobo questi devono essere chauvet anche loro. Per me cinque stelle

Left my old review below, see update for latest info. It gets 2 stars because it appeared to be a decent quality. I purchased mine certified refurbished by Chauvet. Not only did Chauvet get this unit wrong once, it was still non fuctional after being refurbished. Upon plugging in the unit the fixture button indicators would begin flashing alternately and the blackout indicator would flash. Lights connected to the console were getting no signal from the DMX controller. In the process of attempting to troubleshoot I discovered all of the sliders were non functional, the screen and programming buttons appeared functional but without the speed and fade sliders working it was useless. This review is more of a jab at the manufacturer than a product review. I'm sure a functional unit is great, and as stated earlier the build quality looks good. Update: The seller (hifisoundconnection) called me and offered an exchange instead of a refund. I took the exchange and received my replacement today. The new unit works as it should. I had an OBEY 6 controller but wanted the 70 for my cheap chinease moving heads I added to my DJ system. The OBEY 6 is designed for PAR cans and isn't a wise choice for moving heads. This OBEY 70 controls the moving heads perfectly. I was able to assign the joystick easy enough, the manual is somewhat vague and hard to follow but I figured it out. Controlling the moving heads via joystick is great, far better than using a slider. I'm going to retire the OBEY 6 and use this for my PARs and other lights. I haven't played with scenes and chases yet but look forward to tinking with those settings.

Works Great for now without spending a huge amount of money. Running a Behringer FCB1010 MIDI FOOT CONTROLLER with this so I can run the stage lights hands free and it works fantastic.
