Interval Timer and Stopwatch – Soft Coating Black/Blue

I've got quite into fitness in the last four months and as part of this do a circuit in my front yard 5 or so times a week. This little interval timer is vital to this as I'm working cardio and conditioning. I'm currently doing 45 x 30-second rounds with 8 second rest intervals between stations. Very easy to set round and interval durations plus number of rounds. Having the timer helps focus my intensity and means I know the whole thing will be finished in about 25 minutes - just get it done short and sharp and out of the way! The only thing I'd improve is increase the volume of the beep at the end of round and rest interval. With the music I play (using a little bluetooth speaker) it can get drowned out if the timer is on the ground. To solve this I clip the timer to my shorts using the built-in large clip. Stays in place no problem even if I'm skipping. If I'm working out with a family member I just tell them when a round ends and we move stations. I suppose if you want to work with headphones on you might have a problem hearing the beeps but that's not an issue for me. I'll try and get round and reviewing the other items but I'm happy enough with them to mention here.

Just what I was looking for, I needed a timer that had a controllable alarm. I dont use it for "Gym" purposes, I fly radio controlled planes and needed a timer to let me know when I had been flying for set periods. Until I found the Gym boss I had been using a stop watch, but that meant taking my eyes of the plane to look at the watch, tried kitchen timers, but the alarm keeps going on them until you stop it. With the Gym boss I can set the alarm to 1,2,5 or 9 beeps, it also has a low and high volume plus a vibrate setting which is ideal if I'm flying indoors with other flyers who have audible alarms. It also has a clock so I don't have to bother with a watch and a stop watch if needed. All functions work well and it is easy to use. The buttons are well designed, needing a firm push to make adjustments, you can put it in a pocket or hang on your belt without any danger of inadvertently changing the settings. Excellent item for anyone one wanting a timer with adjustable alarm. Well pleased.

At first I didn't like it. Slightly frustrating, but once you get it right it's pretty good. The cycles of alarms were good too because you didn't have to stop and adjust it all the time. It just rolled into the next cycle. Less hassle. Thumbs 👍

I use it for intervals, rest and reminding me to stretch for the full minute Best feature is for HIIT exercises, being able to program it for a set time to work, and a period of rest to follow, all on loop or for a set range of sets is really handy. Bit surprised more people aren't using them Also the beep is loud enough to hear whilst listening to headphones, and can change volume (two settings), or to vibrate instead

I purchased this item after looking for a countdown timer watch that has a vibrate alarm but I ended up finding this which has proved to be even better. Small portable with a clip on option. It has 2 interval countdown timers, stop watch and clock with choice of combinations of vibrate and/or beep alarms for different lengths of time (1,2,5 & 9 seconds). This is mainly used for Gym Workouts but can be used for other purposes to regulate your time throughout the day. An absolute Gem!

Was great to use for interval training very easy instruction only thing is that mine has suddenly froze and I’ve tried taken the battery out resetting it and still it won’t start my timer I can switch options but can’t change anything nor get it to start at all which is a shame as it was good when it was working

I have used many different timers on my smartphone over the years - they are fine but fiddly to use (unlock phone etc), and not 100% reliable - very annoying to unlock your phone wondering why your rest period feels so long, only for the timer to instantly chime as the app is de-hibernated by an unpredictable operating system, or an enforced update renders the app completely useless and you must set sail into the playstore for a replacement This chunky, matchbox-sized timer frees me from the shonky world of smartphones. I use it for 90sec rest period times, but it can be set up for a strict A/B duty-cycle as well.. Nice loud beep and buzz.. Just wish it had a session alarm as well so I don't have to use my phone at all.. Setting up is great - you just mash the SET button to smash through all the interval options and youre done Its a bit of a rip-off but it does seem nice and robust and well thought-out.. Its unusual for me to go for such a disproportionate function-to-price ratio, but the relief from buggy, laggy, fiddly smartphone irritation is worth it to improve focus
