Oral-B Genius 8900 Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush Powered by Braun - Two Handle Pack

OralB have done it this time.... I've used this brand from when I was a child (er quite a while ago!!!) and switched from Braun to Phillips sonicare when I got annoyed by the design decision to make the brushes stop rotating for a bit to indicate a move to next quadrant. This feature really frustrated me in its original design and was not configurable (could not be turned off). Happy to say a these niggles have been fixed in this new implementation and is configurable via the smart app, along with a better implementation that doesn't even annoy me anymore (brush pulses rather than stops for a couple of seconds), you can actually turn this off completely if desired via the app. I used the andriod version and it is a reasonably well written app, only the weird supposedly helpful news feed is a distraction in an otherwise really good app. Focus on teeth -?-> it's a toothbrush not a news app - talking to you Mr/Mrs Braun developer). In addition this is a superb implementation of the brush design. Brush is the best I've ever used and my teeth (that were suffering; when using Phillips - top of the range sonicare btw!) are now completely fixed by this brush. Without doubt this brush cleans thoroughly. Every visit to the dentist required a visit to the hygienist with the sonicare and now that I use the oralb again the dentist actually complemented me on the cleanliness of my teeth which was a first for me! and no I didn't say what toothbrush I used prior to the complement, although they did ask. I can really feel the difference with this brush and I've not really changed how I brush, the system is really good at what it does... mechanical cleaning, the app helps with the rest if you need persuading to floss or rinse with mouthwash then this is for you! I used the app and followed the plaque clean routine and found this useful to restore my teeth after the phillips broke me... The difference is really astounding, the phillips brush is like a manual in comparison to this one! - battery is lithium ion (lasts longer than any brush i've ever used and has lived up to claims so far) + this toothbrush doesn't just stop when the battery is low. Instead it just warns you and switches to its slowest clean mode that is still good enough to clean for a couple sessions. In contrast the phillips (and previous oralb) brushes just warn you for 20 seconds and then die leaving you fighting the brush to finish the current session. - brush quality is really great and I would imagine this will last for many years - two brushes in this pack were a bonus for the price but it is the winning design I'm focusing on - star of the show: this brush is fast ( and i mean really blasts the plaque away when in the fastest mode! ) - there are several modes selected via the app or the brush handle - battery lasts for weeks even when used 2-3 times per day and 3-4 minutes per run-time - the android app is relatively good and genuinely provides useful guidance especially when you follow one of the programs like plaque reduction. I can't comment on the ios app as I've not used it but I'd expect it to be reasonable too. Summary: * get this brush ** best I've ever used and I've been through a few in my time *** some people have issues with app and brush connectivity and i can confirm i also had this a couple times but really ---> it's a tooth brush. use it for what it does best, cleaning teeth and you will not regret it. Use the app a a guidance and it is awesome, ignore the rest

This is the best Braun Oral B toothbrush that I've used to date. This was my fourth brush. It's lasted 5 years almost to the day and I can't praise it highly enough. So why have they changed it? I've read some bad reviews on the new brushes and am in a real quandary to source an equally reliable product with the same features. And in white too!

Not sure how to review. So bought this so both of my teens can use it. They initially loved it however the problem was the app as it kept crushing and logging them out. The other issues is the battery life they feel is a slight disappointment as they brush twice a day using maximum 8 minutes per day and having to charge it after a couple of days doesn’t actually give you a full hour!! We haven’t travelled as we are still in COVID mode but the case ONLY allows for one brush and handle which is an issue. At the price with all the incompetence on sale they should have put in 4 heads! The pro part is when abled the app shows where you need to put the pressure on and clean and my kids have felt their teeth cleaner, with one saying their teeth feels very slightly whiter. It’s just a overpriced item that any brush is able to do. I won’t be spending this amount ever again.

I've been using Oral B electric toothbrushes for over a decade. When I was offered this, I jumped at the chance to try out a top-of-the-range brush to see how it differed from the mid-range (4000 series) ones I generally use. So, what do you get in addition to a mid-range brush?: * The handle looks much nicer. It feels smoother than the 4000 series one and the front bit is silver rather than blue. * The handle has an extra button for switching between modes. This is so much more convenient than using the power button as you can switch the toothbrush off without having to go through all the modes. The front of the toothbrush also has a display which shows you which brushing mode you are currently in (regular, sensitive, whitening etc). * It shows you the battery charging with 3 lights rather than 1, so you have more of an idea how close to fully charged it * The light which comes on if you are pressing too hard with the brush goes all the way around the top of the brush, not just the back, so is harder to miss. * The travel case is great * There is an accessory for securely attaching your smartphone to the wall whilst brushing your teeth, to more easily make full use of the brushing app. * The handle is slightly taller and thicker through the whole stem, to allow for a bigger battery than the lower range brushes. What's the same as the Oral B Smart 4000 range?: * Great toothbrush * 4 different brushing modes * 30 second short vibrations and 2 minutes longer vibration to signal when to switch focus or stop brushing * Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone app Whether or not the additional features and elegance are worth the extra cost (about £160 over the 4900 dual handle pack at time of writing), only you can decide. The 4900 set will do a very similar job, and the additional features are 'nice to have' rather than essential. But it's a great toothbrush, and on a 'cost per use' basis for something you use twice a day, it might be worth it.

I replaced 2 old Oral B brushes with this 2 pack package. What a great deal! I haven’t used the Bluetooth or App but the brush itself is so much better than anything I’ve personally used before. Battery life is long, choice of brushing programs is fantastic and the fresh and clean feeling after use is only rivaled by a visit to the dental hygienist. Highly recommend this pack. For the price it’s great value.

J'ai déjà la même brosse à dents électriques Oral-B (ancien modèle), qui fonctionnent encore, mais la batterie commence à ne plus tenir la charge (50%) après 4 ans de bons et loyaux services, malgré tout le soin que je lui apporte (comme tout appareil avec batterie : recharger la batterie seulement quand nécessaire, c-à-d vide ou presque vide, et ne pas la laisser poser en permanence sur son socle de chargement). J'ai donc sauté sur cette offre en Vente Flash (pour moi et ma femme) : un lot de deux brosses à dents électriques Oral-B series 8900 pour moins chère qu'une seule en magasin. Sinon, sur la brosse à dent en elle-même, pas de surprise sur la qualité Oral-B, que je connais et que j'apprécie déjà. Mais, toutes les fonctionnalités supplémentaires (x modes de brossage, applications téléphone, connexion bluetooth etc) sont pour moi superflux et juste des "gadgets", car au quotidien, j'utilise seulement réellement qu'un ou deux modes et je n'utilise pas l'application. Malgré tout, au delà des fonctionnalités supplémentaires "gadgets" offertes par les series 8000 et 9000, il y a quand même des différences fondamentales au niveau du moteur je pense, car pour avoir essayé les series d'entrée de gamme chez Oral-B/Braun, ils n'offrent pas la même puissance et les mêmes sensations de brossage (vibrations), des fois malgré des spécifications techniques très proches ou similaires. En tout cas, un conseil : commencer d'abord par une brosse à dents entrée de gamme, juste pour essayer l'électrique, avant de monter en gamme ; car je connais des gens qui n'aime pas du tout l'électrique. De plus, pour l'électrique, il y a grosso-modo deux technologies sur le marché (Oral-B/Braun ou Philips Sonicare) et ce n'est pas du tout les mêmes sensations de brossage. Essayer donc, avant d'investir.

Dopo aver utilizzato per anni spazzolini ricaricabili Oral-B economici acquistati al supermercato è la prima volta che mi ritrovo a utilizzarne uno di fascia 'alta' e devo dire che, a circa un mese dall'acquisto, sono rimasto abbastanza impressionato dalla differenza. Innanzitutto il contenuto della confezione: oltre a due spazzolini e a una custodia da viaggio sono presenti una base di ricarica e un comodo porta spazzolini che si incastra sulla base formando un corpo unico (e risolvendo finalmente il problema di dove riporre le testine se ad utilizzare lo spazzolino c'è più di una persona). Praticamente con un unico acquisto ho sostituito gli spazzolini a tutta la famiglia. Infatti il secondo spazzolino mi ha fatto molto comodo per equipaggiare il bagno di mio figlio, che è stato molto felice di ritrovarsi finalmente un vero spazzolino 'da grande' uguale al mio. Il caricatore del mio vecchio modello è identico a quello in dotazione allo spazzolino nuovo e quindi non ho neppure dovuto procurarmene un altro. Lo spazzolino, oltre al tasto di accensione, presenta un secondo tasto con cui è possibile regolare l'intensità del funzionamento scegliendo tra diversi programmi. Personalmente utilizzo solo il primo, quello che lo fa funzionare continuamente alla massima velocità, e devo dire che il risultato è molto migliore di quello che ottenevo in passato con i precedenti modelli. Bastano due minuti per ritrovarsi i denti lisci come quando si esce dallo studio del dentista dopo una pulizia professionale. Vicino al punto di innesto della testina è presente un colletto che si illumina di blu durante il funzionamento. Se la pressione sulla testina è eccessiva cambia colore diventando rosso. A intervalli regolari un timer interno manda segnali interrompendo il funzionamento per una frazione di secondo in modo da aiutare l'utente a dedicare lo stesso tempo a tutte le zone in cui viene divisa l'arcata dentaria. La durata delle batterie è difficile da valutare perché alla fine di ogni utilizzo lo rimetto sulla base e quindi è praticamente sempre carico. Comunque posso dire che lo utilizziamo in due senza nessun problema. L'unico difetto che riesco a trovargli è che durante la ricarica la barra led che indica lo stato delle batterie lampeggia continuamente. E durante la notte, con la camera totalmente al buio, questi piccoli lampi di luce provenienti dal bagno possono dare un po' fastidio. Veniamo infine alla cosa che inizialmente mi aveva lasciato più perplesso. E' possibile collegare lo spazzolino al telefono tramite bluetooth. Un' app che si può installare gratuitamente permette di regolare i tempi e i modi di funzionamento e aiuta a lavarsi meglio i denti dando suggerimenti e visualizzando con una specie di cronometro il tempo di utilizzo. Alla fine di ogni sessione dà un giudizio tramite faccine stile social. Francamente, alla mia età, l'idea di dover utilizzare il telefono per spazzolarmi i denti è una cosa che mi ha fatto alzare gli occhi al cielo. Però mi sono accorto che mio figlio, probabilmente più sensibile a questi dettagli tecnologici ha preso la cosa molto sul serio e la utilizza con grande entusiasmo. Finalmente non devo quasi più ricordargli di curare l'igiene orale e ho uno strumento per verificare se si è veramente lavato i denti prima di dedicarsi ai suoi giochi... :-) Nel complesso sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto, anche in considerazione dell'ottimo prezzo praticato durante l'offerta lampo, e lo rifarei sicuramente. Tra l'altro, ho verificato che funziona alla grande anche con le testine non originali che compro su Amazon. Spero che questa recensione vi sia stata utile.

Seit 5 Tagen benutze ich jetzt schon die Oral-B Genius 8900. Da ich bereits zuvor eine elektrische Oral-B hatte war ich wirklich gespannt, ob man einen Unterschied merkt. Zunächst aber zum Lieferumfang. Neben der Zahnbürste ist ein zweites Handstück enthalten. Dies ist natürlich nur notwendig, wenn man zu zweit ist. Auch muss man daran denken, dass man nur eine Ladestation hat, somit muss man sich beim Aufladen abwechseln. Weiter findet man ein Case um die Zahnbürste zu transportieren - wieder nur eines. Aber sehr praktisch. Es ist für alles Platz darin und man hat die Bürste Sauber und sicher verstaut. So verhindert man auch das versehentliche Anschalten - plötzlich vibriert die Reisetasche im Auto - das passierte mir andauernd. Die Ablage für die Bürstenaufsätze ist besonders praktisch, wenn man sich mal die Vielzahl der Aufsätze die es gibt ansieht. Für sanftes Putzen, zum Polieren... hier im Set findet man 3 verschiedene Aufsätze zum Testen oder eben für den Partner. Für die Nutzung der zugehörigen App gibt es dann noch eine Handyhalterung, welche man am Spiegel anbringen kann. Die Zahnbürste verfügt über verschiedene Modi: Die normale tägliche Reinigung die zusätzliche Reinigung symbolisiert durch den Zahn mit einem + der Sensitive Modus, symbolisiert durch eine Feder, bei dem durch eine niedrigere Geschwindigkeit die Zähne und das Zahnfleisch sanfter massiert werden Der Tiefenreinigungsmodus, symbolisiert durch den Diamanten, hier wird durch eine höhere Schwingung noch effektiver geputzt Der Zahnfleischschutz, symbolisiert durch Wellen, hier wird die Durchblutung des Zahnfleischs angeregt. So kann jeder den für sich aktuell passenden Modus auswählen. Neben diesen Funktionen ist selbstverständlich die App das wichtigste Tool. Schnell und einfach über den App Store installiert, kann man auch gleich loslegen. Man kann seine Lieblingsfarbe für die Anzeige auswählen und anschließend über ein paar Videos wichtige Tipps zum richtigen Putzen erhalten. Durch die Positionserkennung kann immer genau beobachtet werden, welchen Bereich des Munds man gerade putzt. Dabei wird der Kiefer in 4 Bereiche unterteilt. Oben linke und rechte Seite, unten linke und rechte Seite. Pro Bereich sollte man 30 Sekunden putzen um ein optimales Ergebnis zu erhalten. Die Positionserkennung setzt natürlich voraus, dass man das Smartphone in der Halterung am Spiegel befestigt und sich mittig zum Bild positioniert. Wenn man diese Funktion nicht nutzen möchte, wird einfach die Ablaufzeit in den 4 Bereichen dargestellt, wie ein Timer. Da ich mich oft im Bad bewege nutze ich die Positionserkennung kaum. Nun also beim Putzen weist einen die App z.B. auf zu festes Drücken hin, so dass man die Zähne und das Zahnfleisch beim Putzen nicht zu sehr belastet. Ebenfalls wird nach dem regulären Putzen die Reinigung der Zunge, die Verwendung von Zahnseide und die Verwendung von Mundspülung abgefragt. Auch hier erhält man praktische Tipps oder Hinweise. Auch wenn man beispielsweise mehrmals hintereinander auf die Mundspülung verzichtet wird man darauf hingewiesen, dass diese gut sein könnte. So vergisst man einfach nichts und kommt zu einem optimalen Ergebnis. Je nach Reinigungsprogramm kann man diese Punkte dann als erledigt markieren oder überspringen. Im Ergebnis bekommt man dann angezeigt, wie gut das Programm war und was man alles getan hat. Zusätzlich gibt es die Möglichkeit sich über die vergangene Zeit zu informieren und eine Gesamtübersicht zu bekommen. So weiß man genau, wie lange man im Schnitt geputzt hat, wie oft geputzt wurde, Zahnseide verwendet... Für Leute mit einem routinierten und ausgiebigen Putzverhalten ist die App vielleicht auf Dauer nicht nötig, aber sie hilft einen auf jeden Fall die Anwendung richtig und regelmäßig auszuführen. So kenne ich viele die bisher zu feste gedrückt oder zu lange geputzt haben, was auf Dauer schädlich für Zahnschmelz und Zahnfleisch ist. Mit dieser App kann hier also der richtige Weg gelernt werden. Auch kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es für Kinder toll ist, wenn sie ihren Erfolg aufgezeigt bekommen (Voraussetzung ist dann natürlich das Smartphone). Die Putzleistung der Zahnbürste ist wirklich gut, ich habe mir einen der Aufsätze zum Polieren ausgesucht und bin sehr zufrieden. Und ja, sie hat definitiv mehr Power als meine alte 1000 Precision. Insgesamt also wirklich eine tolle Zahnbürste die ihr Geld definitiv wert ist.

Estamos muy contentos con estos cepillos, escogimos el pack duo 8900, trae dos cepillos ( mangos) con 3 cabezales, una bateria y un estuche de viaje ( sin toma usb, es un simple estuche de viaje) El tema de la app a nosotros personalmente no nos aporta nada pero el cepillo va genial, no se a cuantas rpm va pero se nota una gran diferencia con modeloa anteriores que hemos tenido de oral b ( llevamos muchos años usando un modelo tras otro de esta marca) Tiene diferentes modos de limpieza, normal, entre muelas, sensible, blanqueador, masaje encias. La bateria dura mucho es de litio He comprobado que el cargador es el mismo que use con un modelo anterior, pone el mismo codigo en la parte trasera asi que aunque traiga un unico cargador, en nuestro caso no es problema. De todas formas al durar tanto la bateria no creo que sea una limitacion a no ser que sea para usar en diferentes casas. Muy recomendable!
