Just the job for my sink.
Very well made, feels quality and most importantly it fits my plughole where others didn't. *I have a regular alloy kitchen sink with standard drain which a normal rubber plug fits into. It isn't a fancy sink with a deep drain hole.

Works, even catches small particles and water flow is fine
It fits well into a standard sink plughole and catches all the debris. It will even catch the greater part of my coffee grounds, which is good. It would definitely catch tea leaves. The holes are big enough not to impede the water flow, though. It's not flimsy, it's easy to empty and rinse clean. It's cheap as well. Whats not to like?

Nifty gadget that works!
Living in an older house with dodgy plumbing and stone walls means that we need to stop food bits going down the kitchen sink as they sit on the drain cover, making a tasty mouse buffet….this encourages the critters to creep in through gaps in the walls, where they die and decompose. We can put down poison but prevention is better than a cure; straining washing up waste takes away one mousey temptation. Previously we used a plunge-down strainer plug but a washing up bowl full of water on top of it often forced it to close, resulting in us having to plunge our hands into greasy washing up water to open the plug. This was a bone of contention between me and my husband; in a fit of resentment I binned the old plug and went without for a few weeks. No plunging hands into greasy water…instead the rank smell of rotting mouse carcass has been wafting through the house - I hate it when he’s proved right! So, eating humble pie, I bought this little gadget to sit within the plug hole and strain the washing up water. It works! No more mouse buffet…hopefully no more rotting corpses within these walls. We made a slight adjustment, to help pull it out from the depth of our plug hole with not-so-nimble fingers we have attached a small piece of plug chain through one of the holes. This gadget has proved to be a simple solution to a problem - very satisfying! He’s happy, I’m happy.

Good little buy!
Bought this as didn't want little bits of food going down the plug in the kitchen. Was slightly worried about the size/fit however on our "standard" sink it fits like a glove. Sits nicely in the recessed plug hole and catches all bits of food. Easy to clean just shake off the food in the bin and give it a wash/rub and good as new. a neat little product to help your drains getting smelly/blocked and doesn't look weird at all in the sink.

Good, catches everything it should catch and made of good quality metal.
This is a really good sink strainer. It fits my kitchen sink perfectly and the holes are quite small so catches all the bits of food which always seem to make their way into the plug hole. Good metal too, not sharp on the edges but also doesn't rust even when kept wet (unlike some others I've tried before). Good quality, have been using for a few weeks and right now can't fault it. :)

Taking the strain ......!
I've lived in my new-build flat for just over 10 years. Over time, I've noticed that my kitchen sink drains more slowly than before. A very useful air-power gadget from a builders' merchant cleared the U-bend sludge so to stop it building up again, I bought this sink strainer. A perfect fit, I can't believe how much gunge had previously been going down the kitchen plug hole. No longer!. Excellent product, great value, simple and easy to clean and does what it says on the review. 5 stars!

Okay
There’s are okay and good for the price but would have preferred something to hold onto to pull it out. Bit tricky to get it out of the sink without using a fork to scoop it out.

Absolutely brilliant
I don't normally write reviews but I had to for this. I've bought these in the past as was disappointed as they swam all over the sink when I tipped my washing up bowl out. This one doesn't, it stays in place, I'm shocked at the amount of waste that it caught, and it's so quick and easy to empty into the bin. My pipes were smelling before and no amount of drain unblocker would shift it, not anymore, since I've been using this my kitchen smells fresh. I was so impressed I bought two more, one for the bath and one for the bathroom sink. The water flows through them quickly and easily, yet it catches everything. I highly recommend. For just a couple of quid you save agro with blockages later on.
