It’s written in a way that’s clear, compassionate, and easy to understand, even when covering some really heavy topics. I appreciated how it broke down complex emotional experiences like gaslighting and trauma from narcissistic abuse in a way that made me feel seen—not judged. It offered practical insights and tools that helped me start to reconnect with myself and make sense of what I’ve been through. For anyone navigating Complex PTSD or trying to recover from a toxic relationship, this book is a steady and supportive companion. It’s one of the most helpful and validating resources I’ve come across, and I’m so grateful I found it. Review: Absolutely Necessary Resource for Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse - This is a comprehensive guide to recovery from narcissistic abuse, codependency, gaslighting and PTSD. Using accessible, layperson’s language, Ms. Hill deftly explores the myriad psychological connections between these debilitating conditions. In the Introduction, she explains how all of these are routed in narcissistic personality disorder. The book is divided into four smaller workbooks, each with its own specific focus: Narcissistic Abuse, Gaslighting, Codependency and PTSD. All four workbooks begin by describing the symptoms and causes of the subject condition. Next, Ms. Hill shows readers how to recognize narcissistic abuse, gaslighting, codependency and PTSD in the context of their everyday lives. We can encounter this type of aberrant behavior in both the professional and private spheres. Unfortunately, we don’t always realize when these manipulative tactics are being used. Women, in particular, are often brought up to be “polite” and “get along,” a scenario which can cause us to overlook red flags in our relationships. I appreciate the fact that this book enables readers to name the abuse for what it is, call it out – and take a stand against it. Most importantly, Ms. Hill’s workbooks provide invaluable tools for overcoming narcissistic abuse – and the codependency/PTSD that it invariably causes. Techniques such as establishing boundaries, self-care and letting go of shame and guilt are shown to be extremely useful. Readers also learn how to heal their inner child. Essentially, this book teaches us how to bolster our confidence and sense of self. We learn that we have a right to be free of narcissism. The book gives us the strength we need to face the individuals attempting to manipulate us and stop the abuse from occurring. This, in turn, reduces feelings of codependency and PTSD. Finally, each workbook provides exercises for readers to use to journal their feelings and practice their skills. Ms. Hill’s 4-in-One workbook was an extremely meaningful read for me. I have struggled with narcissistic abuse in my own life – and gaslighting is something that most of us have experienced in recent years. I discovered many useful tips for overcoming manipulative people. My key learning: I deserve to defend myself against narcissists and gaslighting, thereby protecting myself from codependency and PTSD. More than anything, this title has taught me about self-empowerment. I’m worth it – and so are you!

Helpful in multiple ways.
I like that I got four books in one even though I bought it for one specific purpose I like the workbook format of it in the back and I like that it was easy to read while maintaining relevant and useful information without being two Elementary. I purchased the book at the suggestion of a friend to gain some specific insight within a relationship, but also gained insight into my own life as I read through some of the other topics. I found the book helpful all around.

Great
Very informative and well structured layout. There are several spelling and grammar errors riddling the book. (Some I started to correct , but stopped when it began to be excessive) But I must say, I do enjoy the in depth explanation on the differences between manipulating and gaslighting, the design of the book into 4 main topics covered and the detail of finding the “why”. It’s nice to find no victim blaming and a humanizing approach to victims. I fist read this book with booksprout for free. But found it rather helpful so I ended up purchasing a copy as well.

A Must Read for NA/CPTSD/Codependency Survivors
I must begin with affirmation that you are not alone when choosing this book to heal. We are all around you, hidden in plain sight because of the abuses we sustained and now are trying to feel human again. We vivaciously chat you up in cue at the grocery store behind you, making that long wait at a busy time of day pass effortlessly though you may be the first person we have spoken to in days: our abuser is giving us the silent treatment for the umpteenth time over an overblown suggestion received as an attack on their ego. Our eyes are swollen and red when, as our nurse, you lock eyes with us to call us back to the medical examination room for another doctor's visit regarding gastrointestinal issues from the stress of being in fight or flight mode. Why? Because our narcissitic abuser took us out on a shopping spree one day for whatever we want but yelled at us for spending so much money when the billing cycle arrives and they need to actually pay for their lovebombing... Check our phone records: we mostly either have calls from our abuser or outgoing calls to the suicide prevention hotline or to the National Domestic Violence Hotline but "can't" leave... Until we fight for ourselves and educate ourselves, we stay in a fluster, wondering why God put us in this struggle that isn't our fault. Enter Linda Hill's book. Based on my previous readings, Amazon recommended this book to me and BOY was it a Godsend. Do not skip reading this if my hypotheticals struck home. You came to find out if this book will help you, right? Do it - READ THIS unofficial Bible of how to get YOU back. Don't you miss the you you were before the abuse sucked the life out of you? Don't you remember the you that saw through BS and took names because you were above being played? Find that you at the end of these 360 pages with amazing tools and tons of self-work workbook exercises. It will be admittedly tough to face the pain and stare it down to get rid of it, but it is worth it! Linda writes from the heart and gives you the love back that you need as you trudge through this all. Love yourself and grab this book. Your healed self will thank you. Remember, as she says, "It is not a sprint but a marathon" to heal from your traumas, but you have to start somewhere. And finally, THANK YOU, LINDA! I loved this book series!

Saved my life
After having my second baby. My relationship with my partner turned for the worst. I thought my life was complete I had our daughter and now my son. What I didn’t know was the masked came off. I never knew the terns gaslighting, codependency and narcissism. This book explained my whole life. It saved me. From the child hood trauma, why I felt the way I felt, years of therapy but therapists couldn’t tell me what the issue was. I got this book because my friend told me I’m getting gaslight by my NEX partner. I started reading this book and it opened my eyes. I recommend this book to EVERYONE. I openly speak about this book to many, read it on the stair stepper, and at home. This book is so amazing and seriously from my heart you saved my life. So thank you for taking the time to make this book. I finally feel like I’m not crazy, aware of myself people pleasing and trying to heal from codependency. I wish to hug you someday you’re amazing! God bless ❤️

Most Helpful & Comprehensive Book on Timely Self - Help Knowledge
This one book contains detailed descriptions on 4 of the major traumas inflicting many of us today, that are currently playing out in our lives, our homes, workplaces and our society at large. Before I read this, I thought I knew quite a bit about these issues already... but, wow what an eye opener!!! That alone makes this book a worthwhile investment. The best part is how the author then gives the reader all-encompassing frameworks to use for honest to goodness paths of self-healing, that really do support those who want step by step guidance and encouragement. Seeking appropriate professional support is also detailed in here. It is a big book, and so are the many benefits of reading it and applying it, even with "baby steps" if that's all that is possible at first. Yes, read it. I am benefitting from it. Maybe you can too, and also help other people in your life who would find it helpful to be introduced to this knowledge, backed up with genuine, possible pathways to getting "help" that matters and makes a difference. Change begins with us...
