Bought the Maru Swimming Pull Buoy Float for my two kids who both train with a local swim club where pull buoys are a standard part of sessions, and it’s been spot on. It’s used regularly, stays comfortably in place, and does exactly what it’s meant to do — allowing them to focus on upper-body strength and stroke technique without fuss. No complaints from either of them, which is always a good sign. Lightweight, durable, and a solid bit of kit for regular swim training. Good quality and good value. Would happily buy again.

To be honest, the colour was the main selling point for me - at the pool I use, you can hire pull-buoys and I wanted it to be really obvious that this one was mine, and I wasn't trying to steal a hired one. The colour isn't as pink as it looks in the photos. It's more of a deep magenta. I don't really care. It's a swimming float, not a fashion statement. As a float, it works really well. It's made from five layers of foam, and deeper than most so it's more bouyant. It perfectly offsets the weight of my legs so I can focus on my arm stroke. It fits well between my thighs too, so I can tumble-turn without it moving. It might only be a float, but little things can make a big difference, and I really prefer this one to any other I've used. Because it's so bouyant, I've found I can also put it under my neck like a pillow and do backstroke legs only. I'm bound to leave this pull-buoy at the pool one day, or someone will nick it. If either of those happen, I will definitely buy another one.

No conocía esta marca pero amo absolutamente mi pool buoy de Maru!!! Tengo la tabla de natación de Maru a juego. Aparte de que los colores son vibrantes y el diseño atractivo, lo que me alegra el día al preparar y utilizar mi material de entrenamiento, son de muy buena calidad. Llevo alrededor de un año usándolos en piscina y están igual que el primer día, con la espuma y sus colores intactos. Yo utilizo el pool buoy en piscina, principalmente para la práctica de la apnea dinámica sin aletas y también para mejorar la técnica de brazada en natación. En la práctica de la apnea dinámica, utilizándola con un esnórquel, me permite mejorar la técnica de los brazos, al asegurarme mantener la flotabilidad de glúteos y piernas. Así cuando ya hago la apnea de verdad, me veo con confianza para hacer los movimientos con precisión y eficacia. En natación es parecido. Me permite enfocarme en bajar la cabeza y poner los brazos en flecha hacia esa diana imaginaria, asegurándome esa posición de partida correcta con el culete bien arriba (posición superman). En resumen: para mí es un artilugio indispensable, además de excelente calidad y diseño atractivo para la práctica de mis deportes: Freediving en piscina y natación.
