Absolutely Worth It
I’ll be honest - this felt so unnatural at first. Switching to a vertical mouse after years of using a standard one takes some getting used to, and for the first couple of days, I wasn’t sure if I’d made the right choice. Probably even the first week! I could use it fine but it just felt a little off. But with so many good reviews I decided to stick with it, and I’m so glad I did! After just a few days, I noticed something bizarre - my hand naturally started gravitating toward the exact position this mouse puts it in. Initially it felt like the "wrong" position but it didn't take long before I realised it was just different but this is a much more natural position overall! The vertical, ergonomic design really does make a difference and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my wrist and thumb comfort (I've had RSI before so always aware of pain as soon as it starts - hence looking into this mouse to begin with!) Aside from the ergonomic benefits, the mouse itself is just really nice to use. The soft-touch finish feels great under my hand, and the silent buttons are a nice touch if that's your preference too! I don't mind clicky buttons but these are lovely and silent, not that spongey silent that some are. It looks really smooth and sleek, is a good weight and is smooth and responsive! The durability seems good (only had it a couple of weeks so far) but seems really well made! It doesn't light up so no worries around excessive brightness or any extra lights running through the batteries! The adjustable DPI settings are another great feature, allowing you to tweak the sensitivity to exactly what you need for different tasks. If you find the DPI settings aren't "quite" right, set it to the closest one and then go into your mouse settings and change the speed there just once point and you'll get it spot on! (That's what I did!) If you're hesitant about trying a vertical mouse, I completely get it - it’s a strange feeling at first! But stick with it for a few days, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly it starts to feel natural. For anyone struggling with wrist or thumb pain, this is an absolute must-have. I only wish I had switched sooner! Once I got over the weird feeling of it being a different shape/position, literally no complaints from me at all!

Fantastic value, fantastic mouse, as good as the best I have ever used.
I bought this mouse as an alternative to the more expensive Evoluent mouse, which, by the way, is excellent. Both are vertical mice, which means that your hand is actually in a natural position when using it. This means that there is no stress or tension on the muscles in your forearm, which means less stress overall, and it minimises the risk of nerve injury or repetitive strain injury. In my case, using a vertical mouse also helped me to completely recover from a nerve injury which stopped me driving and also resulted in me having to take time off work. This is part of the solution - keeping your keyboard as flat as possible and making sure that your wrists are not angled upwards (if necessary by rising the height of your chair and using a footstool for your feet, so that your keyboard is lower will also help). Try getting rid of any wrist rests, as they tend to make your wrist angle upwards, putting stress and strain on those muscles and tendons. It worked for me - I have been pain free for over three years now. I have been a huge fan of the Evoluent mouse for this reason, and when it broke and I needed a replacement I saw this and decided to give it a try as it is a fraction of the price of a new Evoluent. I am so glad that I did. Note, that this mouse is for RIGHT-HANDED use. I don't know if there is a left handed version, but they are not interchangeable. The mouse has a USB dongle, which is stored underneath the mouse when not in use. When I first put the dongle into the computer it didn't work, but a re-start of Windows sorted that problem out immediately. The mouse actually feels more comfortable than the Evoluent, if that is possible, as that is one of the best mice I have ever used. This TeckNet mouse has a soft, rubberised, smooth feel and fits my hands perfectly. The sensitivity was spot-on straight out of the box, and the cursor is smooth and responsive. For full disclosure, I work in the field of disability and often recommend equipment to people using computers. I will be purchasing these as the first choice mouse to try in future, a) because of the tremendous value, b) because it is as good as the Evoluent and c) because your hand is supported in a natural position which will minimise injury. Absolutely recommend this product. You will need 2 x AA batteries for the mouse as these are not supplied. I generally review any products I buy on Amazon, because I only ever purchase products myself after reading the reviews of others. Good value and comfortable to use
This is the first vertical mouse I have used, and I'm very happy with it. I have a Chromebook, so I was concerned whether it would work with my device but it was simply "plug and play" as promised. I was also concerned whether the sensitivity settings (dpi) would be suitable, but the three available settings seem quite widely spread and I found the middle one to be just right for me. EDIT: My first pair of AAA batteries (Amazon basics) lasted only 4 months in this mouse, but I am quite a heavy user. If like me you've never used a vertical mouse before then it takes some getting used to, but I found it to be very comfortable. The buttons themselves make a distinct clicking sound, while the scroll wheel is quieter and easy to use. The only criticism I have is that the buttons are so smooth that I find my fingers can sometimes slip down them causing me to move the mouse sideways when I'm clicking them. I bought this vertical mouse partly to help with pain in my hands from long periods of computer use, and it does seem to have helped. UPDATE: Scrolling with the mouse wheel has stopped working properly despite all my efforts to fix it. I still think it's a nice mouse and good value so I've ordered the same mouse again as a replacement.

Good first ergonomic mouse
First things first, I'm in no position to evaluate the battery life, since it's only been a couple of weeks. However, what I would say is that it has made the experience of using my computer a whole lot more comfortable. I'm no longer feeling any pain on my wrist, like I did with my standard mouse. I've got medium-ish hands (my thumb cannot really reach the far corner of my S8+, which is a large phone), and it fits rather snugly. The DPI switcher is handy. So are the buttons for going back and ahead. One other thing is that although from the pictures it may seem like it lights up, the accents are there just for show; there are no lighting effects (other than when you turn it on - it displays a faint red light from the inside which then turns off). Another issue I have with the mouse is that while the instruction booklet says there is an intelligent power saving feature in which the mouse automatically goes to "sleep" after three seconds of non-usage (to wake it up the user just needs to click a button on it), in practice it never actually goes to sleep and only did that the first time I opened it. That may affect the battery life. Otherwise, I like the mouse till now - the design is understated and mixes with the environment nicely, and the scroll wheel has a nice feel to it, and overall it feels sturdy (I've even dropped it once on a carpeted floor, nothing happened to it). The texture is also nice - it's made of plastic but the makers have made an effort to make sure it feels good. For the price, I don't mind the small quibbles (considering this is cheaper than almost all of the competition). It's a great first ergo mouse.

It's okay.
It's okay, but difficult to control, it whizzes all over the place. It's comfortable, would be nice to see them in other colours. Once you get used to it the size is great. It is good quality.

Easy to use and robust
Now uses this permantently after getting RSI in elbow. No problems since. Is a bit bulky compared to a standard mouse but works just as well. You quickly adjust to the change in hand position. Is robust as it has been dropped a few times and still works fine, Requires 2 x AA batteries but has a switch so you can turn off when not using. Good value

Comfortable and Smooth Performance!
I’ve been using the TECKNET vertical mouse for a few weeks now, and it’s made a big difference in comfort during long work sessions. The ergonomic design feels natural and reduces wrist strain. The 4800 DPI is great for precision, and I love that it has 5 adjustable levels to suit different tasks. The buttons are quiet, which is perfect for shared spaces, and the wireless connection is stable with no lag. Setup was easy with the USB receiver, and it works well on both my laptop and desktop. A great choice for anyone looking to improve posture and reduce hand fatigue!
