Energizer CR1620 3V Lithium Coin Battery

Battery for my watch. OK price and quick delivery. No issues.

My garage charges over 20 quid to replace a battery in a car key fob. Hmm. I watched a few youtube vids on how to open the key fob -they're all different - and felt confident enough to poke a screwdriver into the fob's innards and prise out the dead battery and replace it with this one and, bingo, the car opened again. Job done. Very happy.

The Energizer CR1620 is a coin-like 3 volt cell used in various watches, calculators, PDAs, medical equipment, remote controls, electric earings, etc. The 'CR' in its type-code simply means that it uses lithium-manganese dioxide chemistry, the number denotes its size: 1620 = 16mm diameter, 2.0mm height. Its typical capacity is 78 mAh with a standard discharge current of 0.1 mA. The battery is clearly marked as positive (+) on its bottom and sides, and negative (-) on top, so inserting it correctly should be no problem. I fitted the CR1620 to an old Psion Siena PDA in just a few seconds; fitting one to my Timex watch took a little longer. I've heard that it's recommended to not touch the top and bottom (or do so as little as possible) so as not to leave a greasy residue on the contacts from your fingers. Inserting the cell holding only its sides proved to be a little tricky but not an insurmountable task. It's a great little battery. I bought a few for my battery 'arsenal' ... just in case.

Ho ricevuto questa pila a bottone con data di SCADENZA molto lontana nel tempo (+ di 3 anni), quindi l'ho misurata con il tester ed era perfettamente carica! L'ho utilizzata per il telecomando dell'auto, visto che la batteria originale era scarica. Il modello è CR1620 e ho l'impressione che durerà a lungo. Al momento della recensione sto usando la pila già da 1 ANNO ed è perfetta. Comprata come prodotto PLUS all'interno di un ordine, il prezzo pagato era giusto.
