The Herbal Apothecary: 100 Medicinal Herbs and How to Use Them

Very good book, with excellent images and design. It gave me a lot of information when I started growing a few herbs in my garden. I appreciate all the information in it, especially the practical tips and ideas, when and how to harvest, how to dry and store herbs, and of course, how to prepare teas and tinctures. It's a book a highly recommend to anyone, it will always be on my book sheldf and I keel going back to it from now and then.

Useful and interesting book but American so some plants dealt with are not available in the UK and other plants native to the British Isles are not mentioned.

This is undoubtedly one of the best books I have owned for understanding herbal cures and treatments, the book starts with human body physiology before going on the identify many herbs that are of medicinal / therapeutic value and their applications and ending with many specific herb formulations for home use. This author really does know the subject !! For anyone interested in herbal home treatments this is a 'must buy'

If you are looking for a quick and easy reference book; this is it. It provides a concise overview of a variety of herbs, how to use and what they can treat or assist with. It also shows a picture with each herbal profile. Toward the back of the book, there is supplemental information for a few of today's common ailments. Whether you are first starting out or are a seasoned pro, this is a book you need on your shelf.

A super book that I constantly use for reference. Written by a credible author who has researched throughly and created a book that is easy to go through, with plenty of great photos that are well described with lots of additional pertinent information. Includes 'How To' for all herbal methods as well as recipes and their application. A great book for anyone interested in herbology and natural medicine.
