Gravity Falls: Journal 3 (Random House/Disney)

It’s a really good book especially for fans of the show it has pages from the show and even some completely new ones it’s really good and I recommend buying it

I've been waiting to get my hands on this book ever since it was announced, but as I was about to order a copy on the day it came out, Amazon had sold out! So I had to wait a little longer until they were back in stock and I ordered right away for next day delivery. As soon as the mailman handed me the package, I opened it up and held the Journal in my hands, I read the whole thing from cover to cover in one day, all 288 pages. This is such a compelling read, I really loved reading this! Funny illustrations, great story and interesting facts about our favorite mysterious town in Oregon, this is such a necessity for any Gravity Falls fan! It'll give you information about the creatures and beings that inhabit the town, answer questions in the show and it is also a touching story about the importance of teamwork, friendship and family. Most of the book is written by "the Author", we follow his research and findings as a story unfolds when he mysteriously disappears off the face of the Earth. The book is then in the hands of Dipper Pines as he creates his own entries that follow along with the show, with help from his twin sister, Mabel. It is hand written, with the Author writing in joined up writing (cursive), it's pretty readable, there are a few words that might be hard to make out, but you'll figure out. Dipper and Mabel's writing is much clearer to read as it's printed in a simpler font. I also like that when you take the dust cover off, the cover doesn't have logos or reviews on it, it looks just like how it does in the show. But I also like that the inside of the dust cover doubles as a blueprint of Mcgucket's inventions, so don't throw it away too quick! I can't recommend this book enough, if there's one piece of Gravity Falls merchandise that you have to get, then follow Grunkle Stan's advice and "BUY IT TWICE!"

(Spoiler free) I will point this out straight away. The book itself is HUGE. Have you see that Dipper and Mabel book guide? Yeah the Journal is 1/3 larger compared to that! So yeah kudo for Hirsh for making this book actuate while maintaining a low price. You really are holding the same book as Dipper was during the show! As for the book itself, it pretty much contain everything you want from the show, from the creature guide, the author written notes before he/she vanish while Dipper filled in the rest and more. All of the plotholes remained from the season final are finally resolved (Dipper real name, whereabout of Blendin in the final) in this book including ones I didn't think of like where that sci fi gun that character was holding at the finals? Heck it even contain alot of codes for the code cipher out there to decipher! The only nick-pick I have are- The creature guide is kinda less then I was expecting. Not every single episodes are mention in the journal especially those summer shorts. The possible shipping with Dipper and that girl is still left vague at best! Granted I think if they did added more pages, it had cost ALOT more so I am happy with the result (and Dipper noodle arms wouldn't able to carry it). I still highly recommend on buying it. I just help me to reignite my love for the show all over again if only temporary (now if only get the entire seasons boxset in dvd or blur ray next)!!

This book is absoloutely fantastic, I love the show itself but having this book in my possession IS AMAZING. The paper is high quality. Pages are well detailed and whoever’s getting this I THINK YOU’LL LOVE IT!

Fantastic graphic hardback book full of wonderful pictures and a great gift for a Gravity Falls fan. Bought it as a gift for my daughter’s friend’s bday and it was so good my daughter wanted one too!

Totally fantastic! I can't believe how good the Journal 3 actually is, it is a wonderful gift to the fans of Gravity Falls from its creator. The monsters and Ford's tales of his time in other dimensions is brilliant and answers questions that the show didn't have time to. I feel like it's really given us a good insight into Ford's character, especially as we only met him half way in season two. Even the way that the Alex has managed to make the Journal believable in our world is fab, the last ending pages explains how it ended up in 'our dimension', and it's the little touches like this that make the Journal so awesome, and made the show so memorable. Any fan of the show would be utterly delighted with Journal 3, as I was myself. It was even better than I expected and I knew it was going to be amazing. It is the perfect parting gift for an incredible show that all of it's fans miss. Thank you Alex Hirsch!

My daughter absolutely loves this book. The pages are just like the ones in the show. It’s a really fun book and perfect for any fan of the show.

I recently got into the gravity fall fandom! So I want to own some books from the show! I went to my local book store Kinokuniya to search for them but they are all out of stocks. So I decided to buy from Amazon! And the books arrive earlier than expected! They told me EST- Thursday it will be delivered, but I got it on Monday instead!!! Everything about the book is perfect! Hardcover! Cool book cover with a blue print on it! Some blank page to add your own mystery adventure in it! No damage to the book at all! I watch the show while holding the book to compare! So fun! So many cool code to crack!
