Hot Wheels 1989 Batwing

This so cool to add to my little collection. It is so detailed. The stand makes it even cooler. You can't maneuver it to much it will come off. But still amazing.

Skeptical about the figure at first. Got it on sale. Packaging was good and came in a great condition. I open mine, but if you like yours in-box I'd give it 8.75~9 out of 10 it did have a sticker from seller at the bottom that can be removed with some goo-gone (removed it before taking photo). No die-cast from what I can tell, but I believe that is how it was manufactured. Glad it's finally in my collection.

The item came as described and without any problems or issues. Glad Amazon had it because the toy scalpers in my area wanted double and triple the price.

This should have been five stars, and as far as the seller is concerned I have no complaints, but when it comes to the product itself, for a die-cast vehicle it just doesn't have enough actual diecast to get full marks. Additionally, the canopy, while I'm glad it's there, is really hard to open. Every time I do I'm afraid I'm going to break it, but it is definitely supposed to open, I think, it's on a hinge. I can't help but compare this to the old Ertle Batwing, which was considerably larger, all die-cast, included landing gear, and was comparably priced once you adjust for inflation. Also, it's not very well balanced on its stand, but that would be fairly easy to fix by just adding some weight to the base. Overall, if there was another '89 Batwing in this scale available, I'd say go for that, but if you don't mind your Hotwheels being 60% plastic, the sculpt is good, the inclusion of an opening canopy is a pleasant surprise, and the balance issue could easily be fixed by adding some weight to the base of the stand. The issues do make the price a little tough though. I pulled the trigger after having this thing in my shopping cart for well over a year because I was beyond ready to finally complete my Burtonverse display, but if you're buying this for a kid to play with, you might need more convincing than I did.

lo bueno, el diseño del batwing es hermoso. lo malo, es que lamentablemente toda la pieza es de plastico, pense que iba hacer de metal, pero no es asi. es aceptable
