Well made lock with easy to follow fitting instructions, resetting the opening code was straight forward, the latch can be used for either left or right hand applications. An all round good buy

I bought this to lock the cellar door, we need easy access but we don't want the kids to get through and fall down the stairs. This lock is ideal because we don't need to worry about losing the key. Fitting was relatively straight forward with suitable tools (drill, 10mm wood drill bit, 25mm wood drill bit, a screwdriver and hammer & chisel). The instructions are not completely clear but can be followed. The key code can be changed and you can set between 4 and 6 digits by moving the colour coded inserts around. You need to take the back off the lock body to do this so set your key code before fitting it to the door. Best advice is to read the instructions on changing the key code at least twice before attempting it. Once you have had a go it is very straightforward. You can set the way the handles turn so it is suitable for doors hung either way round.

The lock is nice and solid and the mechanisms feel strong. However, the method for setting your own personally chosen code requires the back plate to be removed and little metal tabs to be swapped around, and then the back plate replaced. But there are springs that you have to be careful not to dislodge which I found very awkward to achieve as you need to hold it one way up to stop the springs falling, and the other way up to stop the tabs from falling out. In the end, I just left the code as it was set in the factory, and I'll train myself to remember it, it was easier to do this.

Does the job and very easy to fit.

Lock appears to be of OK quality, and locks and unlocks OK, however there are some pretty annoying features on this lock. It may well be the case that they are a "feature", which can be changed, but the instructions which the lock comes with are pretty unfathomable. The instructions say "left side" when then mean "right side, and don't tell you important things you need to know. I had to fit it using trial and error, and working out how it works - and the process for resetting the lock-code is just unfathomable. I have worked out how to reset, by looking at the mechanism, inside the lock, and it does appear to be nicely made, but why not write a proper set of instructions?? When locked, the lock appears sturdy, and nicely made, and although I only fitted it yesterday, it has the look and feel that it will stand the test of time - so all well and good. You put in your code to unlock, and turn the handle to the right to open. When you do this, or when you open it from the inside, the lock remains unlocked and open - so if you shut the door, it does not latch. To relock the door - you have to put the code in a second time, and then turn the handle "TO THE LEFT", and it clicks back open, and can then be latched shut. There is a switch on the inside, which looks like it is designed to defeat this mechanism - however it looks like there is a piece missing which would link this to the main body of the lock so that it actually works - and as a result, the "switch" on the inside, just clicks each way without actually doing anything. NOTE TO SELLER - I strongly advise you to write a set of instructions, or have a youtube video showing users how to put this lock in. Once I had worked it all out, it took literally 10 mins to fit it, and get it working - but must have taken me 3 hours of trial and error, and headscratching to work out how to do it. Your product is nice - but without instructions, buyers will just buy someone else's product!

Great value , great product.

As others have stated, the provided bolts are not suitable for this product. The bolts provided were M4 when M5 is needed. Even if the thickness was correct, they are too short for my 45mm thickness door despite advertising suitability for thicknesses up to 55mm. The instructions are difficult to make sense of and are even incorrect at times. I instead deferred to video tutorials to help me setup before I ran into the bolt problem. I'm now left with many holes in my door.

this took a long time as we didnt want to fit it as it looked quite involved so we had a local handy man fit it for us and its perfect brilliant idea and we are now able to use the gate properly and the delivery guys have a safe place to leave out items. excellent produc works well.

Prodotto eccezionale !!!, relativamente facile da montare ( importante avere una punta da 22 !! ) su porte in legno, tutto meccanico nessuna batteria che si scarica, circuiti che smettono di funzionare, va sempre e penso ( spero) sia ETERNO che di questi tempi infarciti di tecnologia ed intelligenza in oggetti che non ne avrebbero bisogno è una eccezione eccezionale !

Bought to replace a much more expensive one that broke. Ok changing the code is not a simple task, need to take it apart, so not something you can do easily. Mecanical, so buttons need a good push, but for the price difference, 4x less than the other, I am VERY happy with this one. No batteries needed which is great. Installation easy also.

Bonne qualité mais en comparant les morceaux à mettre et ma porte qui a 3 feuillures je vois que le montage ne sera pas possible. Je renvoie. Mais je pense que dans mon cas aucune gache de ce type n est sans doute possible. Dommage ça m aurait bien rendu service.
