The Hundred Decker Bus

A silly but good book for the kids bedtime story, they both loved it. brilliant illustrations, kept the boys busy looking at the pictures.

A truly lovely colourful and fun read - witty and imaginative to the last page. There is so much to look out with each illustration having a 101 characters and little details. I bought the book for my little nephew who is bonkers about buses so he will adore this - and be over the moon with the pull out page!! My only comment is that the pull out page is perforated, so I'm not too sure how long it will stay attached to the book - but perhaps that's the point. Overall a beautiful and original book and highly recommended.

This is a great, imaginative book which takes you everywhere and leaves children able to continue to imagine anything they want at the end - good for bedtime reading. Fun to read to or by children, and a wonderful surprise at the end with a vast illustrated hundred (I did not count but it looks like it) decker fold-out page. Perfect for grandparents looking for presents, or for anyone else. Maybe we shall get a series?

FABULOUS book! I bought this as my son loves vehicles and I had no idea how great this book would turn out to be! On here you can't see that the book builds to an enormous pull-out page of the 100 decker bus, which my kids love to count and spend ages looking at the wonderful detail. So creative, so much fun - highly recommended for children aged 2-3 and above - even my 7yr old enjoys it despite it being a 'picture book'! It plays to the limitless imagination of young children. A perfect gift recommendation.

I read this story to my Reception class as part of our topic on transport. It has bright, colourful illustrations with lots of things for the children to spot and discuss. The story itself is lovely and lends itself to lots of different literacy activities. It centres around a bus driver who one day decides to take a different route. As more and more people want to ride the bus, they begin to add more decks. The large, pull out picture of the bus was particularly popular-but beware, it is a bit flimsy!

I have used this book twice with different year 2 classes and both times the children absolutely loved it. Brightly illustrated, with lots of engaging characters and things to look for it was an instant hit. I have used if for different genres of writing from diary entries, reports and story writing, telling the time and to teach programming too. We created our very own 45 decker bus and made our own vehicles in DT. The possibilities are endless.....Thanks Mike!

My 4 year old grandson loves buses and loved this book!

The story is really great. The language is good and also the illustrations. My son really enjoyed the book.

Muy chulo, encanta a los niños. La hoja que se despliega les sorprende mucho y tiene bastantes detalles graciosos en los que fijarse. Si es para el aula da pie para realizar muchas actividades.
