The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun. Special Features: • Director and Cast Commentary • Director and Producer Commentary • Drop (Un)Dead: The Creatures of Retribution • Outtakes Review: absolutely brilliant product and service, totally happy - This is one of the most previous of all the Resident Evil movies and probably the coolest and most stylish for its action quality. I like this episode because unlike all the other movies, even though I think they are all totally cool (particularly the second one) almost every single scene that takes place in this is all totally cool, action packaged and well-thought for a resident evil movie. Its true that in the other movies, mankind stands some chance at survival but now, in this one 'Resident Evil: Retribution' nearly all of mankind if not the whole thing is wiped out my the zombies and all of Umbrella corp's abominations in general, the whole world has been turned into a zombie and monster infested hell hole and the whole planet's situation and understanding in general is all about Umbrella Corp and its research program to create the ultimate abomination (and for god knows what reason, which I think is at the same time crazy but thats also what makes it so cool in terms of its awesome quality in a zombie slaying action.) In this episode of Resident Evil, the main character played by Milla Jovovich has to team up with some elite commandos, infiltrate one of Umbrella Corp's main company plants, undermine and take down its powerful, armed corporate forces and kill of a whole legion of gruesome monsters in doing so, all guns blazing throughout! Totally Awesome! Because Im such a fan of resident evil, anything to do with monster slaying action and this movie was so cool, I give this full marks and would recommend it to anyone who likes the same movie or games action genre. Review: WOW - I was a little put off this film because of some of the reviews on here but i bought it anyway as i have seen, and own all the other Resident Evil films. I have just finished watching it and had to come straight on to leave a review because i thought it was amazing! Like people have said, it is full of action from word go. I thought i might not like that as i am not the worlds biggest fan of action films. This however was super cool. I note that someone said there is nothing to explain what happened to characters from past films. It does explain, in its own way granted. Yes most arent in it from the previous film, but does anyone really care? I wasnt bothered as i personally found the previous film really poor. That was my least favourite film of them all. Other characters from the first and second film are back in, not in ways you would expect. I think some viewers might not get the film and its format and thats probably why they left confusing (to me) reviews, saying that the film was terrible, didnt have a plot etc. Dont be put off by other reviews. Everyone has their own opinion so i say watch it and make your own mind up. I wish i had seen this at the cinema, it would have been unreal! 5 STARS

best instalment yet!
I know this may be saying more to some than to others but this fifth outing is the best by far! It just made me fall in love with the franchise even more. I think we all know that the hate for these movie matches/exceeds the love for them. I'm a long-time fan of these films but even I felt that this iteration was a breath of fresh air and takes the franchise into places the audience has never been before. Paul W.S Anderson may not be the best writer in the world, but when watching Retribution I really felt it was clear that he had thought this chapter through and knew where he wanted to go with it. With breathtaking action sequences, further character development on the central character, good acting (mostly, some a little wooden), clever in places, great 3D and the best story line to date, this is definitely one to watch. Number six here we come! If I could give it more stars I would. UPDATE: £6.00! What a bargain! Especially considering these DVD's are usually at least £10 when first released. Thanks Amazon :)

Amazing!
I've always enjoyed the Resident Evil movie series, they're fun, exciting and a good blend of action and horror but this new entry is the first one that really made me think "wow!". From the highly impressive, reverse-slow motion, opening scene it was literally non-stop action until the closing moments. Lots of the old characters from the previous films return as well as some new appearances of Barry Burton, Ada Wong and Leon S Kennedy (finally!). There's some subtle nods and references to the games as well which fans like myself will appreciate. The visual effects are some of the best in the series and I particularly liked how it revisited old locations from the last few films. The story can be a little too straight-forward and doesn't involve too much thought (do any of these films, in all honesty?!) so is just a highly enjoyable watch from start to finish. I highly recommend this film (I watched it again the next day after watching it the first time - something I very rarely do) but I would suggest watching the first four beforehand.

Average movie with outstanding AV
This is the fifth Resident Evil film and now represents what has to be, by far, the most succesful video game franchise of all time. The story line itself is running a bit thin now, seemingly regurgitating old characters and plots in a blaze of digital technology (Milla Jovovich still looks pretty fine though). At best an average movie but okay for mindless popcorn entertainment and to be honest, what else would you expect from a film in the Resident Evil franchise? What makes this movie really stand out is the quality of the blu-ray transfer. the 1080p resolution picture is absolutely mind blowing in it's quality, even in the modern field of great transfers this is up near the front. Everything is crisp and well defined down to the smallest facial feature with perfectly reproduced blacks and flesh tones. The audio uses a DTS-HD 5.1 lossless soundtrack which, as expected for an action movie, makes full use of all available channels. Although at times loud, everything is defined with crystal clear clarity. Overall an average movie with a pretty much flawless reference quality audio and visual experience.

Bel prodotto, ottimo film!
