Resident Evil 5 - Standard Edition - PlayStation 4

Resident Evil 5 is one of those games that I tend to want to play every once and a while, since my PS3 is on its last legs I jumped at the opportunity to get a hold of the HD PS4 version. So is it any good, yes, it is, the game plays exactly as it did previously and the improvements to the graphics can be seen, they may have switched some of the action buttons around for PS4 but I can't be too sure. It includes all the DLC so in effect it is an HD remastered version of Resident Evil 5 Gold, the extra content becomes available after completing the main campaign, as far as I know, no downloading or installing is required, nor did it install the main game either. or it was so fast I didn't notice. Resident Evil 5 is a great game, lots of fun to be had shooting baddies with an assortment of weapons, which can be upgraded to do more damage, larger ammo capacity etc, collecting those elusive BSAA medals, getting S rankings on all the levels, and of course pooping it when there is a chainsaw wielding maniac with a sack on his head coming charging towards you, nothing a rocket launcher can't fix. If you like the action/horror genre, it may be worth a look

First played this on the PS3. Great game. I really enjoyed this and it’s very fun playing with a friend through the campaign. This remaster has come out really well on ps4 with much improved graphics. Good for trophies. Recommend

I have the original on Xbox 360 with all DLC and this remaster is excellent. Better frame rates, graphics and controls are easier to use and very smooth. Some weapons do seem to be more powerful in this version than Xbox 360. All DLC is included and Mercenaries is a favorite of mine. You do not have to achieve A grades or better to unlock the characters now. All available in Mercenaries from start. For the main story, I managed to finish on Normal level in Xbox version but now I will try the story on Veteran too as weapon power and gameplay are improved. Love it. It is one of those rare games you never get bored with and always want to play many times. I have just ordered Resident Evil 4 HD to upgrade my PS2 version and I hope they upgrade the entire series.

a brilliant game even more gorgeous with HD enhanced graphics. And the great villain Albert Wesker from original 1st ever resident evil plays a pivotal role in the game.

The 2nd best RE game in history in my opinion after RE2. Amazing co-op gameplay and totally ahead of its time graphically. Classic.

The follow up to the brilliant Resident Evil 4 was widely anticipated and while the game does not disappoint it does have its flaws. Like the annoying partner you have with you, and the lack of atmosphere that previous games had. The Evil Within, which series creator Shinji Mikami made after he left Capcom is the game Resident Evil 5 should have been

One of the funnest games out there especially co-op. Really epic that it also includes DLC.
