The multi fire feature is fun! It is a little harder for younger children but they can use it in single fire mode. It shoots the darts 20+ feet with good accuracy. Awesome toy! The blue, white, orange color scheme helps me know who should have it. Worked great with the 6 and 8 year old neighbors.

As many other reviewers said, the gun smells pretty foul right out of the package. I didn’t notice it so much but my husband who has a strong sense of smell was repulsed on Christmas morning when our son opened it. He said it smelled like a dirty diaper. I could smell it too if I gave the gun a whiff up close. It was not pleasant but it went away with time. Our 5 year old has really enjoyed the gun and has no problem cocking the gun by himself. I think it’s a great value for such a fun toy at only $10! It looks nice with the blue color but I would prefer that the bullets have some neon or bright colors on them to make finding them in the yard easier. The bullets are just navy blue foam with a light gray tip so they don’t stand out in the yard. The gun is pretty powerful but not dangerous. It came with 6 bullets and can hold all 6 at one time. We haven’t had issues with it jamming yet. It functions as advertised! The box it came in was a plain brown box so a more colorful or fun box design would make it a nicer gift to give. I would recommend this Nerf gun.

Excellent product

Buy one for everyone in the family. All ages. You are never too old to feel the joy of pelting someone with a foam projectile. In all seriousness and from a practical standpoint, I am super impressed with these, especially for the price. My son is impressed too. They rapid fire option was a delightful surprise, and somehow manages to spike my adrenaline every time. All the dopamine and serotonin, none of the side effects of otc meds. I bought one of each color. All of them function the same, so it's really just aesthetic at that point.

This is a fun toy and easy to use. It hurts like any other nerf gun so don't aim at the face or any other sensitive area.
