Once stuck on, stays on even outside in awful weather

This is a butyl type tape, I put it down and then warmed it a little with a heat gun. Once the sun got on to the joists it started to stick on its own. Used it while carrying out some maintenance on a 11 year old decking used it to put over the decking joists under the decking boards, will hopefully make it last much longer. Would deffo recommend and will buy again as it’s super easy to put down and use.

Marketed as a timber decking flashing tape, I do think that this tape can be used in quite a variety of applications and surfaces provided the surface is clean and dry before applying. I have read some reviews that the tape hasn't stuck very well to wood but I have tried it on untreated, dry timber joists and it seems to adhere pretty well in my experience. I've also applied some to a plastic downpipe that had a small hole in it (from a waterbutt removal) and it stuck really well to the plastic and is still stuck despite it being exposed to the rain so I can see that this is waterproof as it says. It's a fair amount of tape here at 15metres of the stuff and it's best to cut the size you require rather than trying to tear it. There is no stretch to the tape which I like because stretch can lead to the repair coming loose. I think it's a bit pricey though at £16.99 at time of review but there is a small 5% voucher at the moment saving you some money. It's good quality tape and very very handy to have in my tool box and my intention is when summer finally gets here, is to do some maintenance work on our decking joists and some timber support posts that require inspecting and repairing where needed and this tape will drastically improve the weatherability of the decking joists helping to keep it stable and longer lasting. I like the tape and it's easy to work with and very sticky yet allows you to peel it away and re-stick if you're like me and want a neat looking repair or application.

Great tape - very good adhesion. Flexible enough to cope with most imperfections. Could do with being a little more robust so that the surface doesn't break too easily.

Sticks very well to timber and the width of 50mm is ideal for usual timber joists that have a width of 47mm. Easy to use and acts as an ideal damp proof course to protect the top surface of the decking joists.

Very happy with this tape. Good quality and very sticky so great adhesion. Good water resistance and looks as though it will prevent water from seaping under the timbers.

Wanted to use this on my decking, bought one reel and it ran out quickly, decided not to buy anymore due to the cost of it and how much u get for your money.

I have just been updating my small decking area so I was happy to test this as it should help extend the life of the joists used. I did cut a small piece of tape off and test it and found it was not very secure. I then cleaned the wood as best I could and tested another piece and it did stick much better. It needs to be dry and dust free wood when you work for the best result, there is little point sticking it down without a little work as it will not function and help extend the life of the wood. I was able to use the full roll when working with long sections of timber you can quickly use a few rolls of this. Does it work, only time will tell.

Très collant et résistant, je suis très satisfait. J'ai fabriqué ma propre pergola en bois et souhaitais protéger les bastaings de la pluie. Je l'ai posé durant une journée très venteuse. J'ai été surpris par le pouvoir collant. Il ne bouge pas malgré les rafales. Il est assez épais. Je recommande ! Livraison rapide !

Am Anfang konnte man es sehr gut abziehen, nach dem zweiten Tag, war die Folie eine Katastrophe, die Klebeschicht wird so weich, daß sich die durchsichtige Folie nicht mehr abziehen lässt. Keine Kaufempfehlung
